I needed to paint some walls in advance of getting the house on the market and with trade being so quiet of late, cashflow not being great and not knowing any decorators who'd do it as a favour or for a discount off a holiday, I thought I'd have a go myself. The situation is nowhere near as bad as the airlines/media have made out. People are still on holiday in Qatar & the UAE, flights are coming and going on a regular basis, but I fear some airlines have taken the "opportunity" to cancel some less profitable routes and jack the prices up on the alternatives, which is hard to swallow as flight prices are already on the rise due to fuel surcharges.

There's an argument that people retiring overseas should actually get an increased pension, but lose access to the NHS etc ie you now live overseas, you don't get to come back for free health care. I think I could support that and also scrap the triple lock.
