Evatt's not perfect, show me manager who is, but if we hadn't have missed easy chances in our last two games we would have had 4 more points and been 2nd. Not Evatt's fault if we don't take easy chances.
I think our biggest problem is the constant chopping and changing of our starting eleven. Sometimes through injury, weve rarely had the same 11 players for two matches together.
Some of the comments on here are unbelivable. We were by far better than Portsmouth. We dominated pocession, played much better football, but again failed to take our chances. I will never understand how we ended up with 3 bookings to their one. Shocking ref.
I'm amazed anybody thinks Derby played well. Both their goals came from breakaways when they had more or else a free run on the Portsmouth goal because the full back went missing. Second half they created very litlle played deep and defended their box, but Portsmouth were devoid of ideas to break them down. I wasn't impressed by either side on the night.
Apologies to some on here that everything we do isn't perfect and were prone to the odd mistake. Much better tempo from the start, dangerous every time we go forward. Continue like that for a comfortable win.
I think the over reation to a poor display yesterday will disappear when we beat Reading and Pompey beat Derby. Were 3rd in the league two games ago we put 5 passed Oxford followed by a good performance, if unlucky at Derby. Some of the comments on here are way over the top. Calm down.
We have to put today behind us. It might seem a long shot but, if we beat Reading and win at Bristol Rovers and Derby lose on Tuesday to Portsmouth then next Saturday, we be level on points on the same number of games. Derby don't play until the following week. Not out of it yet.
