For me, a basic we need is someone to organise the team, especially defensively. We're as bad as Newcastle fans with this obsession with getting someone in who used to play (or coach) at the club, I think Brown's done a great job at Hull but at times I would have been embarassed by his behaviour. I still think Hull will be lucky to stay up and I personally feel that we need a fresh face at the club and not someone who has been here before. If Brown was appointed he would get time but I have a feeling expectations would be too high and we'd end up where we are now with the fans. Walter Smith is just a ridiculous suggesstion, he won't leave his beloved Rangers and I hope he doesn't, he was a disaster at Everton. Peter Reid is someone who is probably out of touch now, he hardly helped the situation at Leeds or Coventry did he? We need someone who can look from the outside in (so no one with any previous attachment to the club) and try to solve our many problems rather than someone who the fans like. I don't even think that should matter, it's about results and not whether someone can be a bit funny in a MOTD interview, we are in a relegation battle which is based purely on results. Would I like to see better football? Well of course I would but right now it's about staying up and I'd happily accept someone who could do that and then look for someone else who can move the club forward in the summer if that is the right thing to do. There's no obvious candidate for the job IMO, if Megson goes then for me it would be Curbishley and if not him then Alan Irvine.

Burnley trains is difficult You can get there (Bol-Bla and then Bla-Burn) leaving Bol at 11:20 and arriving at 12:20 Getting back seems to be impossible as the last train is around 4:30
