Nothing will convince me that McCann deserves a first team place, Muamba has his issues but he is quick and fit enough to keep up with the game, McCann isn't, his legs have gone. That's not his fault of course, he dived in last night a lot, sometimes win the ball, sometimes doesn't but when Muamba challenges he normally comes away with the ball without giving away a foul. Zat Knight dives in a bit also but i think his partnership with Gary is beginning to look quite solid, Knight much preferred playing against Cole then Hines. Chung was great when he came on as was Cohen. Klasnic looks promising but is obviously not quite at Premier League fitness yet.

McCann was off the pace, by the end of the game he was really struggling to keep up with Stoke players. He also dives in a lot, gets skinned and generally has no passing ability. Muamba has improved this season, he needs good players around him though and the decision to take him off at HT baffled me.

Not sure why Muamba went off at HT and McCann stayed on!

He doesn't have to be out of work, we wouldn't get Coyle either, I'd imagine the compo would be too high as it was with Steve Bruce. I'm not sure Coyle would leave Burnley though, he probably wants to keep them up and see out the job.

Those were extreme cases. Sam used to moan at the ridiculous at times, other than Mr Styles did we get any really bad decisions against us last season? From what I've read from ex-refs, moaning players/managers get reputations (Diouf being one example) and Meggo's more diplomatic nature might help us win some refs over

Good idea in my opinion, stop all the rubbish that fergie/rafa etc come wout with before playin Us/Stoke/Blackburn One thing I like about our Meggo is that he doesn't constantly snipe at refs, when we lose it's his/the players fault not the ref's. Someone should have told Sam that.
