as well as Auschwitz, there is a tour of the Jewish quarter that would interest you too in that case.

Krakow
second all this, been twice and loved it, though it was summer when I went which influenced the "head like a loose button" effect mentioned above. Down the side/back streets between the square and the "planty" you will find plenty of good places to eat and drink. Also,on he square you can get horse and carriage tours, nowt like the ones in Blackpool, really well turned out horses and carriages with some of the fittest women drivers you will see, paid a tenner ish for an hours ride around the city whilst drinking bottles of Zweic, was excellent and would recommend that, but as I said , was summer when I went so may not be on or to cold to sit there in Feb.

Cash for me too,for the same reasons as this also the words to "one piece at a time" about nicking parts for cars from work and building his own. Quality. *Fatolive, from Breightmet, but liking songs about fights and nicking car parts purely coincidental

Occupational Drug Tests
don't know the technicalities, but he second test is carried out on the 2nd pot you fill a the test, if the first sample fails, its the 2nd sample that is sent away to "the lab", this being from the same time as the test, they detect what state you were in at the time of the test. don't know how it works or how they test the second bit. but, at the last place i worked, one lad tested positive for some kind of weed, the test report came back, that this stuff was present, and was introduced to his system from 30-33 days prior to the test. so fuck knows how they work that out. edit: corrected to make more sense due to "t" key being bolloxed

Occupational Drug Tests
True Micky, but the stats on results from such tests would indicate whether they do have a need or not. well, in safety critical roles in anycase, not sure what harm a hungover purchase ledger clerk is doing like. don't have the national stats obviously, but our place has had a good few failures, none for drink, all for drugs.

Occupational Drug Tests
aye, that's what was explained to me too, anyone can say oh I'm on such a tablet for head aches etc, so, once it shows up positive, the secondary test can show when where and how often and it's source, whether legal or illegal, whether you smoke and drink regular and all sorts of shit. and also, the possibility that someone who is on genuine medication, isn't also playing at being Pete Doherty of a weekend too.
-
Occupational Drug Tests
aye, but they have the fact they tested positive for a banned substance. they then establish the source of that substance,to get he full facts. which takes about a week, in the mean time, the employee is on stand down, as they also can't let hem work without he full facts either. don't get me wrong, I tear my hair out with this more than you'll know, and use your argument o try and keep a lad working, I'm just explaining how it works

Occupational Drug Tests
That's all true, but the point is, it's only a test strip that says yay or nay, and some things found in legal drugs are also found in illegal, once it says yay,it is at that point it is sent away for a more thorough test which determines the source of he substance. due to the way things are these days, the employer has no choice but to suspend, as if it did turn out to be an illegal substance that could affect the employee and those he/she worked with, the employer would be failing in their duty, as MickyD said. as i said, it's a ball ache, but that's he way it is.

Occupational Drug Tests
we have them at work regular, you do have to declare and they should ask if you are on or have taken any medication. one common one that keeps coming up is positive for "opiates", which is found in cocodomol and the like. when this happens, the employee is suspended,in most instances on full pay until the results of he second urine sample come back from where hey send them. It's a ball ache when your trying to arrange staff/work load but the lads have now got used to the idea of a few days off paid and don't worry about it. the mobile test can determine any illegal substance, but in the case of some things that are found in both legal and illegal, this is when a second more extensive test is needed to determine exactly what it is. hey can, somehow even determine if you have "passively" smoked dope for example, or actually smoked it yourself,so no use jus saying i was in a pub where everyone was on it but i didnt touch it etc. my place, as well as random tests, conduct tests on he injured person every time someone reports an accident , no matter how trivial, so we had the bizarre situation a few months back where one lad cut and trapped his finger opening a container door, he knew he would have a drug test as he reported it,so, took some co codomaol and said it was for the pain, knowing he was clean every other way and so wangled himself 8 days off while they established it was co codomol. it's a pain in the arse.

Naughty Things You Did As A Kid....
once found a dog aimlessly wandering around star mount in winter when the lodge was frozen, looked and was acting lost had an address on it's collar, decided to do the decent thing and take it to it's home, but not before we had smashed the ice and thrown it in, then waded in to our knees to "rescue" it, took it back pissed wet through and told it's owner we found it struggling in he ice and got it out. ?1 note each from a very grateful owner was worth the bollocking for wet pants of the mother, ?1 was a lot in 1979

Bundaberg rum with coke is a nice drink. would recommend it to anyone who likes rum and even those that don't think they do will probably be converted
