  1. and then closed again after Christmas/New year. I have to agree though, the advanced warning and diversion is very badly signed, from the Atherton to Bolton direction especially.
  2. that's all true, and wouldn't force any shop to sell anything, but, I think, in my opinion, it's a wrong decision in something labelled as "services", probably is a business decision, and nothing sinister (as it would be reported in the mail for example) as turkey is "suitable" for everyone so bulk buy that, less gets thrown etc, but, the fact that you can't get a sausage sandwich because of this is wrong, generally, in my opinion.
  3. two different vets would give you two different answers if you asked them which slaughter method was the most "humane", most Halal meat for public consumption is stunned first as per the usual methods in any case, according to one report. But, whichever way it is slaughtered, and which way is best is missing the point of the original post I think, as these are not serving pork because it isn't (and cant be) halal. If this is the case, then that's very wrong, which ever method is the best/worse. One thing respecting cultures etc, but another not to serve certain produce because it doesn't fit in with certain cultures. I personally don't give two how my burger ended up a burger, but if Mounts can't get pork sausages in a place serving the general public, there's something not right, and it doesn't matter if it mainly sawdust and brains, if he wants a f?cking sausage barm he should be able to get one, simple as. saying that, the person serving could've have been thick or a wind up,may have just ran out!
  4. just read your link, never heard of this bloke before, but f?ck me, a bit strange is putting it mildly.
  5. That Stephen K Amos fella, his own show he got was the worse thing ever on.
  6. some good points there mate, but, going slightly off topic,as the thread is about England football, but seen this type of comment a few times, using Irish as an example. I have never seen anyone offended by someone wearing a poppy. Sure, some may not want to wear one for their own reasons/agendas, but "the Irish" as a collective, would not be offended in the mainstream. the 1st world war killed more Irish people than any rebellion against the crown, the 1916 rising the war of independence or the civil war. True it is.or was at least, a political mine field, but ifpeople in general were offended, then this wouldn't exist and operate. http://republic-of-ireland.britishlegion.org.uk/index.cfm?asset_id=1376 and the thought that a state body like the FAI would want to somehow "honour" bobby sands/IRA etc is laughable. Though i do know it was hypothetical, used in context to try and explain the poppy situationon the shirts
  7. we'd always struggle with them with that Elton Welsby (you're a w?nker) playing for them
  8. not saying he wasn't told this, but, ask him to ask them, if indeed this thing does exist, at what pressure will they start to prosecute, seeing as there is no legal specific pressure requirement and how will the mat know what pressure should be in the tyre? It would have to be able to read the side of the tyre to know that, and two same type cars could pass over this mat, each with different tyres at different pressures and neither would be breaking the law, or both could be. infact, a car could pass over with different pressures front and back, and still be legal.
  9. yeh, can be in a mat too, I would imagine it was something like this on this link. http://www.roadtraffic-technology.com/contractors/detection/sky-high/sky-high5.html could be wrong like, may well be a tyre pressure tester, not sure how that would work though, and would say, more than likeley it was some form of traffic flow count
  10. that will be a traffic counter. monitors the volume of traffic over a specific point and times. who ever told you it was for monitoring tyre pressures was taking the piss I suspect.
  11. I couldn't wok any of it out, and even with the translation, can't figure out how it makes that maybe I'm just not with it.
  12. indeed, I am aware of this rule, however; this pc i am on is f?cked, and copying or uploading pictues seems to be beyond it's (and my) capabilities. perhaps you would be so kind as to do the honours. edit: kindly done by gonzo
  13. agree in principal, but Cat Deeley is the exception that proves the rule
  14. and me, they could let them back in, and every team just refuse, just concede the game if necessary. soon get fed up not playing.
  15. http://www.bbdjfl.org/news.php then they are mistaken, from the league committee statement, link attached gives the whole reasons for the problem they now find themselves with.
  16. http://www.sligozone.net/Ballisodare.htm Aine will tell you all about it Pubs, fishing and music festivals, that's about it. http://www.mylocaltown.ie/browsecontent.php?linkcounty=Sligo&linktown=Ballisodare&linkcategory=Events

  19. http://www.abd.org.uk/speed_limit_signs.htm#motorways it is confusing, as you correctly say, you see them at the end of works, and according to TSRGD, they are prohibited and 70 signs are required at the start of every motorway, and you don't see them in too many places either.
  20. should never see that sign on a motorway, as, the national speed limit law doesn't apply on motorways. 70 should be displayed at the start of motorways and slip roads entering a motorway from different speed limits.
  21. I was at school with him from primary, know him quite well, he's all right really, just think you need to be a bit of a show off personality to do what he does. makes a fuckin lot of money for flying around to different places just to play shit fucking records to drugged up idiots mind you. that's my job description for what he does, he doesn't agree and thinks it's something more talented and gifted, but basically, that's what he does
  22. puddles int' street? you were lucky...........
  23. only two of them words describe him accurately to be honest. you can decide which two.
