  1. Tom playing for Bolton has just beaten Sheffield Wednesday Anyone from here? Alas although they discussed hoteliers, there was no mention of butter
  2. Catch tampering!
  3. Not sure, but his wife to be is virtually named after us. Get them to meet the players and show off their medals- this is what hard work and commitment looks like.
  4. A while ago now but the watermill in Inge was good. Was weened in the Coach and Horses and always sad to see it as a nursery.
  5. Did this. Around £6 apiece on amazon. EBay was cheaper but wouldn't accept credit card so bollocks to em. Quite easy really, cheers.
  6. Think Vince will go, perhaps keep faith with Ballance. Still believe Ali should bat higher up. Personally when Stokes is fit, I'd play him lower down where Ali is.
  7. Put the island invaders out of the rugby sevens. Galtieri, maradona, tevez: fuck off
  8. Quality. Well done, even more so considering one of them was near death a while ago.
  9. Magnificent! Reckon I'll set up a still- distill my own parsnip wine and swap it for a thin layer of tarmac on my drive
  10. Genuine question that's puzzled me: where do they get their water and dispose of sewage and other waste?
  11. Hydro electric is a tremendous storage method. Not sure how flooding large parts of hilly areas would go down though.
  12. Given the discrepancy in ticket sales it may well seem like one.
  13. Probably the typhoon. Saw one at Southport not long back. The sand vibrates and the noise is both terrifying and awe inspiring at the same time. Tornados pretty loud too; commentator said quite often sorties flown over Afghanistan etc didn't need to use weapons as the towel heads legged it when they flew over.
  14. On their own you're right. There are many things being looked into, like algae to produce energy, farm slurry for gas production. Ultimately though energy consumption will need to be reduced, led lighting, better housing etc
  15. Tremendous win. The dab signal keeps dropping out when were out and about. They were two down then got to a signal area just in time to hear Ali get the last one. Ace
  16. Ditto, went walking on the coastal path, sunny and windy, a few days ago. Now my head favours a leper's elbow.
  17. I'm still unconvinced about its wider effects- in the US gas escaped into drinking water! And its odd how its extracted in part using 'chemicals'. What are they and what are their long term environmental impacts? What are the impacts of transporting huge amounts of water and sand: both on where they come from and the land they are piped over? Large areas of the USA have low population density, and the costs of extraction would therfor be lower. Saw a chap a while back saying it wouldn't be cost effective. Personally rather see a drive into sustainable alternatives, and perhaps base research and an industry in this and low energy products; might be quite useful economically now we're out. Additionally, this progress only delays the inevitable as fossil fuels' availability declines.
  18. He's only 21, some people mature physically than others. Nadal was like a brick shit house at 19 and is now fucked. Ideally Clough would have been brought in and out to look after him but he was thrust into the shit as a saviour. As for popping his shoulder a couple of times, not sure that's being injury prone- anyone can do that when you fall. Yes he's struggled somewhat but I'm convinced he'll be fine, I was stick thin and lightweight at his age, and now suffice to say I'm not.
  19. Said this before, how anyone can criticise Clough for last years performances is beyond me. He's played a handful of games and yet seemed to be carrying the whole team's hopes when far more experienced players were hiding. He's shown a quality of technique well beyond most if not all of our squad. If we had a couple of others who shared his intelligence and could utilise him we'd do a lot better attack wise. He's worth more than 2 million in today's market.
  20. Saw a documentary about th'arrows not long back. Is there low cloud too? Not sure of wind cut off speed, but they restrict the routine before calling it a day altogether.
  21. Lovely day yesterday in north Pembrokeshire. Drove back south a little into cloud and later rain. Went fishing briefly and the wind was that strong you could body board on the lake..
  22. Just been to the cardigan food festival. Got two rump and a sirloin water buffalo steaks to slap on the BBQ. Will I be celebrating a win with my grub?
  23. I like it, won't watch everything but enjoy seeing stuff not normally on. Suspense of rowing etc. I'll be politically incorrect but much prefer normal to the Paralympics.
  24. They contacted us (vw) and told us to book it in with local dealer. Easy.
