Lad's got a hudle which doesn't seem to want to charge at all. My Alcatel is going the same way. The leads have gone loose in the socket and its almost impossible to get it in the right place to charge. I've tried putting tape round the 'male' bit to make it tighter but it doesn't improve things. Are these things repairable (at not too great a cost)?

Its a countrywide problem at the moment. Been lots of ant nests this year, even raised areas in lawns. Was listening to Lancashire v Durham yesterday and there was mention of some game somewhere being halted because thousands of the winged bastards were coming out of a hole on the pitch.

Had a job on the road for nine months, hated it. Unfortunately once you get into it, and the adrenaline kicks in its easy to get into the zone and drive a bit closer to the edge. Used to get home and feel like I was still moving. Only a pager to distract you then and as the population has grown so has the number of cars. Don't envy anyone stuck behind a wheel nowadays, especially on a day like today.

Ah the 'stew' issue. For me putting carrots etc in makes it a stew. Only spuds and onions allowed in hash/lobby.

Is that all carpets, or certain materials, eg wool? Or could it be something in the carpet, eg treatments, cleaning chemicals etc. I guess the vet knows best, but how do you go on with its bed/blankets that presumably you'll put on the floor?

What's wrong with oxo? True enough you can now buy fresh liquid stock, or make your own, but it all comes from dead creatures. Trifle was ruined by the addition of those sponge finger layers, would make you gip.
