  1. Aye, seems level headed, with parents that have given her a good grounding. Seems to have plenty to occupy her off court if needed.
  2. "Oxygen meter": always makes me smile- once worked with an Iranian student who frequently needed to used a "dissolved oxygen meter" in his work. Whenever he asked for one, it sounded like he was saying "sausages" so that became his name.
  3. Exactly. Evatt has already said he likes him, and wouldn't have offered him a new deal otherwise. Mad not to sign. Get fit, and get into port vale's team and take it from there.
  4. I didn't know that Politic hadn't signed his new contract until I read that yesterday. Don't know the nature of it, but he ought to think carefully.
  5. The doctor makes a fine couple of points. In short, whichever way he tried to dress it up, he was unprofessional.
  6. Very possible. Burnden has it, and its not uncommon to get a secondary, bacterial infection. Take care, and call a gp if it gets rough.
  7. Well done, she deserves all the plaudits. Tremendous to watch. Everyone's going to want a piece of her now, hopefully her people will manage all that and she can concentrate on playing tennis.
  8. The loud boos from the Ipswich fans as the 5th went in were sweet music. Insult us all they want after that.
  9. One of ours needed a big operation quite young that cost a 4 figure sum. Thank fook for insurance.
  10. Thay also look after current customers by not charging more than new ones. Once in you're not funding offers.
  11. We use "Bought by Many". Superb, paid out no hassle for mine on two separate occasions. Wife reckons they're still cheaper than plenty of others too
  12. The masks issue is an interesting one; you may be right. Difficulty is getting folk to stick with it- it was certainly not 100% adhered to whilst still law. Plenty of folk also denying thir effect, saying the science doesn't back up their use. Others saying the opposite. Remember too, that the numbers were much lower when restrictions were lifted- they only increased afterwards. The same will happen elsewhere. This is part of the difficulty for NZ and Aus now. Until their vaccinated numbers are very high, they're stuck with either bouncing between strict measures or accepting rapidly increasing numbers with a more open society again.
  13. That's exactly as I would have imagined it. No doubt guys would want to do their jobs but safety protocols etc. Isn't this in part of the delay in going in to treat the injured in the arena attack? As for the towers- I would presume it would have been very difficult to assess the performance of the structure well below the impact area too. Might have expected part to remain stood up even if some of the above sections failed.
  14. Lockerbie was a shocker too; at uni and it struck home with so many American students dieing that day. Visited the memorial last year.
  15. Improved from last season in that we're creating more opportunities and scoring more freely. Evatt clearly knows what he wants, both in terms of style/fitness and also character to fit in and work towards his ideals.
  16. The way we play with fullbacks pushing on so much is going to be problematic on occasions. IE accepted that the team will be open on occasions in his post match comments.
  17. Ignore the twat. Don't give he the attention he craves. Deprive anyone their oxygen and they'll eventually turn to dust.
  18. Well in answer, I doubt very much they are happy with the figures, but that they are acceptable when balancing the economy and livelihoods. Numbers in a month or two will be the acid test, and I'd guess that's why they're pushing vaccine passports/jabs etc, to protect as many as possible before winter comes. Numbers in hospital will surely be the main issue; more restrictions would be uncomfortable.
  19. That's a very big call. Send in hundreds of men when they knew it would collapse? Possibility maybe, knowing- can't see it.
  20. Crystal ball translation says he's disappointed he didn't go after considering it. He hopes tonight's gig near to his home will be good as compensation.
  21. Not sure what you're asking there, something missing.
