Annual weightloss/get fit thread
The new buzzword at the moment it seems. Most gyms seem to be jumping on the hype. It’s like CrossFit but more aimed at Endurance and less technical.

Annual weightloss/get fit thread
Did a Hyrox class for the first time on Friday. Quite possibly one of the worst things I’ve ever done. Didn’t know if I was going to throw up, piss or shit myself. Horrendous. Full membership starts tomorrow 🙃 Planning to do the 3 Peaks in Summer so training needs to start somewhere (albeit a slightly different sort). Any advice appreciated!

I know next to f’all about crypto but just saw that Bitcoin has surged massively this week, particularly after Trump won. Am I right in believing that it’s doubled in value this year alone? I just don’t fucking get any of it- A View From The Other Side
Posts taken from https://londonroad.net/Forum/showthread.php?tid=23323 PREMATCH Hi again and welcome. [007 bond villain mode] Welcome Mr Cee, we meet again [007 bond villain mode] You come on here every time we play you with your hard luck story giving it the "we are rubbish, we've got loads of injuries, we are in bad form, fans not happy with the manager, half time pies are poor, we are conceding lots goals and the flood light are not bright enough" etc. And usually you seem to get the better of us, especially at your ground. Funny you speaking about the refs as last (few?) times we've been at your ground we've had some right incompetent one sided refs in your favour, one that sticks in memory is when that Bolton fan ran onto the pitch during stoppage time wasting most of it and the ref still only played the bare minimum that was added on, shown by the fourth official and you guys were unsurprisingly winning at the time. Anyway hopefully will be a good game, both teams you'd usually expect to be around the top part of the table in league 1 come the end of the season based on previous campaigns form and final standing. Anyway good luck for the season other than tomorrow, or the reverse fixture. DURING No, I’ve seen plenty of games where the ref has blown before a corner was taken. I’ve also seen games where the ref blows instantly after the corner was taken. I'm glad someone finally said it. The time is the refs business, he has no reason to lie and after 99 minutes I'm fairly sure he'll want the game to end as much as anyone. 6 minutes = a minimum of 6 minutes. It's rounded down from whatever is on his watch. It could be 6 minutes and 20 seconds, could be 6 minutes and 50 seconds. All this moaning at time just overlooks the fact that we gave away a very silly penalty at a crucial time in the game.- Peterborough United (H)
Missus mentioned going Alton Towers on Saturday. Said I’m at the match. Right now though, it definitely sounds more enjoyable; feeling rather disillusioned with it all atm.- Birmingham City (A)
Just seen that Walsall and Stoke are at home the same night too. Some planning that.- Birmingham City (A)
Been once in 2016. We played long ball for 90 minutes to the target man that is Zach Clough, Clayton Donaldson scored the winner and the car broke down on the M6 on the way back. Definitely not in a rush to do it again.- Bolton V Aston Villa U21 (H)
Southwoods going to be away, Baxter and Coleman are injured so looking like Hutchinson in the sticks too.- A View From The Other Side

Also worth noting that Sheehan is out of contract in Summer. His missus was posting something on Instagram last week about it being difficult being so far away from family with young kids. Might be putting 2+2 and getting 5 but if Morley does well this season and for whatever reason Sheehan decides to move on, I’d say we could do worse in terms of replacements.- Loan Watch 2024/25
I thought someone used to post a loan round up after most weekends but doesn't look like we've got a thread going yet this season as far as I can tell. Just scrolling through todays results:- Dan played 90 minutes in Cambridge's 0-2 loss at home to Lincoln Morley got 2 assists for Wycombe in their 2-1 win away at Bristol Rovers Max Conway played 82 minutes in Crewe's 2-1 loss away at Newport. Saw that he got MOTM last week I believe?- Arsenal (A)
I believe he was the one that sent Santos off against Blackpool away last season too. Don't think he did an awful lot wrong with the exception of the Sheehan penalty shout. I think the other way round, they get that - home advantage potentially? Not that that makes it acceptable but it's easier to give it when you've got 55,000 screaming at you than 4,000 over 100 yards away.- Arsenal (A)
Was listening to this earlier out of curiosity. I know AFTV are a bit of a joke but was interested to hear what they had to say about us and their line up. They're expecting Raya, Havertz, Jesus, Sterling, Jorginho, Calafiori and Ben White all to start purely because they're light on numbers at the minute. If we keep it down to 4 I'll be happy enough.- A View From The Other Side

Randell for Schon, maybe Demps for Matete (who I thought was poor yesterday) I would say take Rico out of the firing line for a game in favour of Forino but I think he's an Arsenal fan so that would further compound his misery- Crawley Town (A)
Only just realised that it’s a half 12 kick off after playing Arsenal away midweek. Very quick turnaround. Does that alter team selection for the cup game or do we go full strength? I think they probably all deserve a chance to go up against one of the country’s big boys but it can’t go costing us against Crawley. Heart says win, head says draw.- Reading (H)
He's been getting shit for weeks for not coming out and facing the wrath as captain. Evatt pretty much said as much post match. He's now not captain (at least for the time being) to take him out of that limelight and toys have been thrown out the pram, or at least that's the way it looked. I think he needs a few games out to reset. Forino looks more than capable of playing that role to me.- A View From The Other Side
Think I'm a fair weather Wanderers Ways'er at the minute. All posts taken from https://hobnob.royals.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=191636 PREMATCH A new Wanderlust appears under the name Harry Bo Then Lusty appears... DURING Bolton are too good for their form to last, and the players heads have been scrambled this week. Coming back from 2-0 I’ve still got PTSD 29 years on from it Get another one and it will be squeaky bum time for them.....but it will probably be 5-2 shortly. POST- New Poll - Evatt
Edit: Posted too soon. Can't disagree with any of this. He just looks/sounds like a broken man and it's just a shame at this point. I still want him to succeed as he is quite a likeable manager. When times are tough though, you go back to basics and I don't feel like he has that in his locker. - Crypto Currency
