  1. How much is it to upgrade your ST for a match? Just in case I need a week off from dickhead corner at some point
  2. This man knows
  3. Agree with Manchester but Birmingham? The place is a shithole. A big shithole, but certainly no second city
  4. Good news for Leigh tonight, Ridyard and Brierley signed new deals
  5. I like Leeds. Great city and seems to have improved even more every time I visit
  6. IAMIN Looking forward to Huddersfield in particular, piss easy to get to on the train so can make a proper session of it
  7. I imagine the only way to do it would be to fly really low and even then the radar would see it on its way down rather than it just vanishing into thin air
  8. My money is on ice pick, Trotsky-style. It's what he would have wanted
  9. Local transport links are appalling. Trying to get into Manchester for 9am (at least from Wigan/Bolton) is a piss take. Crap, tatty, overcrowded trains that don't turn up half the time and are roasting in summer/freezing in winter. They talk about HS2 sorting some of the problem out but it will only help Manchester City Centre unless they sort out Northern Rail.
  10. Not surprising. Given the association with the uni, loads of established and start-up science/tech firms are moving in down there. AstraZeneca is abandoning Alderley Park to move all its operations to Cambridge
  11. To be fair, if one way hatred qualifies as a rivalry/derby then we already have one with Wigan
  12. Can it be a rivalry if the hate is virtually all one way though? When we went to Old Trafford very few people there would consider it a derby, they have bigger fish to fry after all. We laugh at Bury for having ideas above their station but we're exactly the same with United. Hating them is all well and good but I wouldn't call it a rivalry. All depends on how you define it, I suppose
  13. I dunno, I had it in my head that next season's losses would decide it but there's talk of Leicester/QPR getting massive FFP fines if promoted so I assume it kicks in this year?
  14. Aye. Just pointing out that high earners leaving doesn't necessarily mean we'll be able to use the extra cash freed up to sign new players
  15. Are we not getting a transfer embargo this summer then? Not sure if it's this summer or next but, given our finances, it's an issue of when rather than if we get one
  16. We can hate United all we like but it will never be a rivalry as long as 99% of their fans couldn't give two fucks about us. Same goes for Bury but with the roles reversed. In terms of proximity, level of club and likelihood to play them often Wigan is a perfect fit. Plus they absolutely despise us
  17. This. Although success based on loan players seems worryingly reminiscent of last year where we finished on an absolute flyer before the players responsible (Spearing aside) returned to their parent clubs and it took us 6 months to get back into the groove
  18. This forum doesn't half get blue on the weekends
  19. Wigan Wigan
  20. Latics can win all they like, it's a rugby town first and foremost. Pubs were full at 8am the other week for the Club World Cup
  21. Were Keighley any good or did we just not perform? Only had twitter reports
  22. LM could also help by sharing his no doubt impressive repetoire of anti-Wigan songs. Change 'rugby' to 'latics' and we're golden
  23. I can help instruct people in hating the twats, I have to live here so I'm already well versed
  24. I think one of the biggest changes with going 2 up top has been moving Medo and Spearing from defensive mid to just central mid. They seem to be getting in each other's way a lot less. I was one of those who thought they couldn't play together but it seems it just needed a change of system
