where was the so ragging called loyal support when we got crowds of 3, 000 and 4,000 how many who post on here went to the matches in the 4'th division I did even though I was in London exile; mind you, that was handy for the big games down there such as, er, er, Orient Crowd figures at the mo are masked a bit by the fact that ST holders are counted as there come what may. No way there were 24,000 people in there on saturday. Probably <20,000 in truth. Why so low? Well one reason may be simply that ST holders think that they've done their bit and paid upfront and so in one sense it doesnt harm the club if they decide not to brave the shitty weather. And I think that most of the empty seats WILL be ST holders - after all, 24,300 was the official figure; now as I recall the away end upper and lower between them hold 5.5k, so maybe 3.5k is given to away fans between upper and lower bit. They had <1000 I think; so maybe the home capacity is 24.5k of which we must have had 23-23.5k there. In other words there cant have been much more than 1000 empty non-ST seats. But there were many more than 1000 empty seats - so ST holders are staying away. And in the end thats their choice I guess - after all, maybe people are getting pissed off with the odd kick-off times etc, I dont know. I'm not making excuses for them - after all I travelled 110 miles for it - but people pay their money and make their choice.

Lord above - another failure here
  7. Cheers folks - looks like we'll be able to sort summat out for him, but I'll not mither people about it now as its a couple of months away. Bear it in mind though Happy if you want to get summat knocked up advertising the site. Swanny - hopefully they dont go the whole hog if people make a fair effort - I guess the threat is there to stop people using it as a backdoor way into the event (you can get straight in apparently but only by lottery). Carlos - good point, he should get the Bury Rivals board to chip in. Then again, even if all three of them dig deep it wont amount to much I'll shout again nearer the time (think its actually the day after the Charton game, whoops sorry I meant FA Cup semi).
  8. Just to ditto the last three posts - well said and very true
  9. we can have whatever we want on the shirt - wanderersways.com in big letters if needs be.
  10. right, I've had a word with him and as long as he gets at least ??100 he'll run it in a WanderersWays shirt and provide photographic proof. Can't say fairer than that! Oh and he's got a signed Bury shirt up for grabs as well in case anyone wants to bid for expensive bog paper...
  11. is that a euphemism

a nodding dog - Swanny would love that !
  15. when did he say that? If it was when he was at Liverpool then it could well be influenced by the rotten time he was having. Now he's at somewhere where the fans are behind him and its all working well it may be a different story....
  16. Lad at work, big Bury fan, hates us with a passion. He's running the London Marathon in April in aid of a Leukaemia charity; I'd have chucked me usual tenner in but then suggested that I'd pay more if he ran it in a Bolton top. He asks how much more.... whats that humiliation worth then?? He's getting a bit desperate as if he doesnt raise ??1200 he looses his ??100 deposit and gets charity blacklisted, which seems a bit harsh...
  17. well the trouble is its not even annoying the French too much as she lives there and they seem quite happy for her. Now what you really want is a record that was achieved by Brits in the country which begrudges them it the most... step forward Thrust SSC, the first supersonic car by Richard Noble and driven by Andy Green in 1997: 0-600 mph in 16 seconds. Fastest run average 763 mph. Now that fucked the Yanks off big-time
  18. When I was young My dad said to me "son, d'you want to work for Lostock Hawker-Siddley?" I said "no, I don't think so.. ...cos I want to go and join the Bolton aggro" Hello, hello Bolton aggro, Bolton aggro....

Some flaming poor posts on here. its never been that 'hot' anyway! #-o Strike a light!!!! That last one has got me incensed Yes, I'm expecting to get some jos stick for it! Can we stop quoting - it's doing my eyes in! Anyone would think this was a burning issue! stop quoting? Flaming Nora!!!!!!!! Who's gonna be the next bright spark to come up with a pun? I think the moderators should be fired for allowing this trash! They are too busy with their fetish of burning each other with hot wax to notice the thread THIS HAS BOLLOXED MY EYES The question is, how many quotes can you do before the page goes into melt-down? i don't know guess we keep going to find out then.... your burning it at both ends now But on a lighter note... is it just me or does jimmy look like a waxwork on satans piccy? That gaptoothed smile always reminds me of Lampwick out of Pinocchio which bright spark had the idea of this thread anyhow. should be fired
