  1. I think Eddie Davies deserves a lot of credit for his final act. As well as lending the club the £5m to sort out the Blu Marble debt the way he did it enabled Moonshift to get a hold on Ken's shares and has ultimately probably forced Ken into a corner and with fingers crossed got us a better owner.
  2. https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/17514292.bolton-wanderers-fend-off-high-court-winding-up-move/ ''The buyer is somebody who already has a major stake in a high level football club. Mr Ken Anderson has instructed to draft a share agreement but needs two weeks,” said counsel. Interesting!
  3. Brilliant! and Gary Megson doing Public Relations
  4. I think ALF was quoted as saying that at his age he needed to play every week and he certainly wouldn't have done that with Parky. Can't blame him for moving on.
  5. Clough is like many flair players in the Championship and League 1 - great on his day but his days are too infrequent and you struggle to get him on the pitch because of injury.
  6. Just looked at the table. We need to make up 8 points on 2 teams with 9 games left. It's not happening. Might get a point out of this though so going 1-1.
  7. Not for me. I really rate Keith Hill and always gets his sides playing football on the floor which you would think would suit him. Says it all that he never got a regular start or run of games there.
  8. Normal service is resumed. After the first 15mins we lost our battles all over the pitch. Maginnis won nothing and I would have quite happily punched Sami Ameobi in the face at half time the wuss. I would have left the midfield alone from Saturday anf not brought Lowe back and after his show of emotion would have played Taylor unless he was injured. Another waste of a night!
  9. No takeover announcement today then?
  10. Before Saturday I thought we were definitely down and was all doom and gloom. One win and I'm giddy again thinking we could do this. 1-0 Bolton.
  11. Think that's fair comment. Because of his injury problems I think it's at the back of his mind. He's a much better player than we have seen to date but it remains to be seen whether he will ever get back to previous performance levels at other clubs.
  12. That 'shot' against Norwich where he was 6 yards out and it went out for a throw in sums this clown up. Whole ground just laughed at him.
  13. Really pleased with the win. O'Neill always impresses me and was MOM today. If only he was 5 years younger. Probably goal of the season as well although there's not much to beat. Need to follow this up with a performance Tuesday.
  14. Pretty much agree with that. My worry is that we are now all clear that BWFC as it stands is not sustainable in the the Championship without someone pumping large sums of money in and will be even less so in league 1. I can't see why anyone would buy us as the chances of getting to the riches of the Prem anytime soon are remote. Do they see some other other benefit from buying us? Anyway lets hope that it's sorted soon and a new chapter can begin.
  15. That's probably a fair summary.
  16. What a sorry mess this last few years has been..........from ex players ripping us off, media that reports slant-eyed views on everything with little investigation, an owner who being very kind is eccentric, woeful football. Let's hope we can all move on soon with a Club still to support.
  17. So Dean Holdsworth went into the sunset with a massive jolly swag bag?
  18. That tribute is brilliant.........just brilliant. That's our Club right there......all in it together......brought a tear to my eye. I can only hope that after all this mess is sorted we can get back to that again. RIP Dave Higson you were an absolute star. Hope you're having a Ding Dong Do wherever you are!
  19. Just about to set off. Before the Birmingham game said 0-3. Now for some reason think we'll get a point.......that's football for you one win and I'm giddy.
  20. Well bloody hell. That's the best way to follow Bolton. My lad told me we were 1-0 up and then that we'd won. Didn't watch or listen. Other than that no ups downs or other mither Said on a post on another thread there was mileage in a Maginnis Donaldson partnership after the final bit of the Preston game. Got to keep that going
  21. Spot on that. I thought on Saturday when Donaldson came on and played near him (I know we were chasing the game) they caused Preston some problems.
  22. Interesting stuff. Seems to suggest we are paying at least £500k too much. Also if we owe £1m+ then that figure covers this year and part of last year.
  23. Probably 0-3. Parky has got to try something different as it's groundhog day each game. FWIW with the players we have we may as well go properly direct. By that I mean getting someone who can win the headers and then surrounding him and picking up the second ball. Gowling said as much last Saturday on the Radio Manc phone in on the way home. Beevers up front anyone when he is fit?
  24. There’s plenty of ours due a good game.......about 11 I reckon. Might all come together today.....then again....
