  1. Aye it was Chelsea v the police, Boro weren't as keen for a scrap that day as they were at the Sweet Green.
  2. Chelsea relegated by Boro
  3. I'm guessing it's because as the biggest club in Germany they get more than their fair share of the best German players and with the German national team so strong Bayern will be.If the best German players were only like the best English ones now, Bayern would be relatively shit. Mind you, Mourinho had two of Germany's finest midfielders at his disposal and cocked it up against Dortmund. Also Bayern's owners don't see it as a business like Arsenal's do.At Arsenal turning over a profit in 4th place is ok.If Bayern dropped down to 4th there'd be a spending spree to ensure it didnt happen again, not handshakes all round for turning over a profit.
  4. We needed more than 9 men
  5. It doesn't really matter. The Spanish speaking world will always prop up Real Madrid. They are bigger than the Spanish national economy.
  6. I can do you a pair in the East or West upper for 100 each
  7. They got one of those, no doubt about that.Just not for the for the biggest clubs. He's good for the Chelsea and Inter Milans of this world. Not quite a Madrid manager.
  8. We did our job after making life difficult but it still wasn't in our hands after Hull.I think it was Exeter who took points off Port Vale or might have been Blackpool to give us the opportunity to beat Preston for automatic promotion
  9. Very, very poor from a Real Madrid team that was. After the first quarter of an hour they just went through the motions. They played like they didn't think they were good enough for Madrid and were just taking their pay cheques before being finished.Wonder where that came from?
  10. If he is just as quiet next Wednesday morning I will dare to dream.Until then I refuse to set myself up for a fall.Experience tells me that Whelan and Martinez don't fail when it matters most.
  11. start of the 80/81 season when they had Terry Curran causing us problems but it was 0-0. Massive following.
  12. I thought Bailey had already been on loan with us, that was the really bad thing about it.They didn't bring that much support that day, only filled one section of the embankment. Wednesday lost to Brighton at Highbury.Brighton lost the cup final and were relegated.Happy as a pig in clover if Martinez does a Jimmy Melia
  13. Kiddo's hat trick against Newcastle.Better than Worthington i thought West Ham away.So nearly got a point against Brooking, Devonshire, Dave Cross and the rest of johnny Lyall's cup winners.Mind you they'd been away in Europe midweek Clive Walker putting us in Division 3 Chelsea fans racially abusing Paul Canoville You're not going to Highbury - Ian Bailey, sheff Weds Sheffield Wednesday bringing 6,000 plus on a midweek night in August. Winning at Blackburn Easter 82, Noel Brotherston mom but no end product.Huge Bolton mob out. Tottenham fans doing a big conga on the Embankment and Neil McNabs disallowed free kick. Shit defeats against orange kits Roger Palmers Oldham but beating them away in 83
  14. Not at all, Villa winning means a few others can go down.Newcastle would be the funniest. Thing about Villa is they have to be 4 points above Wigan before the last match for the unthinkable to happen.
  15. Villa are down if they don't beat Sunderland on Monday for me.Beat em and they have a chance.
  16. Freedman post match " Josh Vela was immense, for such a young age to step in and show his maturity by tracking his runners so there were a lot of good performances."
  17. Good job. Anyone not winning the Spanish League or CL at Real Madrid for one season is in danger.
  18. I've literally not made my mind up. Comprende?
  19. Mourinho's not quite as good as he thinks he is.It wouldn't surprise me if he gets sacked again.
  20. Why do you think Arriva are sending appointment times by letter and then not turning up?
  21. Nah.Even at Barcelona's peak two years ago i'd expect even Arsenal to get through with a 4-0. 3-0 a chance, 4-0 too much.
  22. Probably.Barcelona's front 6 against Man Utd was made up of 5 World Cup winners and Messi. No wonder they absolutely battered England's best.
  23. Yes But not that the Barcelona team 2 years ago was the best club team ever
  24. Is a great time for a safari....The wider Serengeti region covers interesting sites such as the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which is another popular stop-off on African safari holidays. The park attracts more than 90,000 tourists each year - and many come to view the Great Migration. Come on an African safari holiday during late May and early June and you stand a good chance of catching this amazing natural phenomenon, which sees more than one million wildebeest move south from the northern hills. Around 200,000 zebras also make the trip.
  25. Did any of them give a talk
