Lofty Must Die!
And we though Natasha had no life! http://www.sports-mascots.co.uk/ http://footballpoets.org/poem.asp?Id=9078 Someone should be able to tell us.... isn't there a rule book for mascots? Stuff about not inciting rival fans? No running on the pitch? No showing wiggling your arse/feathers/tail at managers etc?

The Borg Scores
What a surprise. Isn't it what world class strikers do? Why didn't he do it for us more often? Doh! Strikers need to be on the pitch though!! Seriously, to back Sam up on this, if we've made a mistake saying he could go, then other Prem clubs would have been sniffing around. They weren't so may be Sam's not alone in his feelings for Borg and so maybe........... we all move on.

Spurs Predictions
Head says 0-0 With the White's defense taking a hammering but surviving. Burpalotz won't be prepared for the physical premiership and won't last the whole game. Heart says 1-0 Davies latches onto a long ball from Campo in the 78th minute and toes it into the net. Post match.... Head says BSA: "Thought our defence held well but we still need a big striker" Heart says BSA: "Fantastic finish from Davies. Spurs worked hard but in the end were pants in the Fortress Reebok. Coleman.... panic now before the goalfest in the smoke" :p

Shrewd Moves And Dodgy Dealings
Let's see how many bids we get for them in January shall we??? ;-)

Sheffield Are Not The New Bolton
Nat, I see it as a compliment that we came into the Premiership and have successfully worked our way through it and we have now set a route for other teams (without massive spending power) to follow showing how they can survive in the top flight. We are not bully boys. We play hard but fair. We were the first team to hustle the top teams in the midfield to stop them playing and have players like Super Kev who gives as much as he gets. (And is always unfairly penalised in the process imho).

Sheffield Are Not The New Bolton
A foreign view on the premiership season. I think this is a compliment !!! The whole thing is quite amusing and worth a read. http://ussoccerplayers.com/latest_soccer_news/524169.html

You mean the white shirt. It's OK until the text goes over it. Can you fade it out a little to make it less obvious?

We Can Still Save Our Season......
Nat, Most regular premiership strikers could, and would, score goals at every league below. However because the EPL has some of the most impressive defenders in the world, with top class managers and coaches, it's no longer about hanging around waiting for a 1on1 with the keeper or for an open net to appear. s The best strikers don't JUST score goals, they CREATE them. It's all about creating the space, getting the ball put into that space and THEN doing the easy(!?!) job of poking it between the sticks. They have to gel with their colleagues, understand the different formations, work out weaknesses in individual defenders and know how to exploit them. And every season as defenders work out how they play they have to change their game to stay at the top. Having ALL these skills is rare and some players make it look easy but these players are way beyond our means at the moment. So we will settle for players who have only some of the skills (Borg?), or have all the skills but not in sufficient quality yet (Vaz?). It's a balancing act, skills, quality, experience, cash. We have no choice but to trust Sam and I for one currently do.

The Sack Race
Interesting this one. A bit on the bbc (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/5237596.stm) which covers all the managers and says about Sam 4/10 rates him as secure as secure as Benitez and Hughes. However Bet365 has him as 2nd favourite If coleman survives (and we could cause his downfall by finally winning at Fulham!), Moyes at 33/1 has got to be worth a punt. Anything less than wins against Watford and Jackburn and he'll be Toffee enemy number one.

Ambition!
Maybe, but you are not considering the variable that most other teams around us have invested in their squad and look to have improved. Especially the likes of Spurs, Newcastle, Everton and even Blackburn? Improved? Maybe..... Newcastle have lost Shearer and Owen this year. Blackburn sold Bellamy and got Roberts (a step down imo). Everton paid over the odds for Johnson who is really a top quality penalty taker. Spurs swapped Mido for Berbatov (Only time will tell but I think that could be a good deal for them) We've brought in Fortune & Meite, two quality players who other teams may wish they had got hold of first. How many back 4s will feel confident facing Davies, Vaz, Diouf, Nolan and Stelios. (With Tal, Tal, Meite, Gardner, Hunt, Fortune waiting for them and Jussi in goal). Not to mention Campo looking for that killer ball. Sometimes look from the outside in. You may be surprised.
