  1. What time do you want us to pop round? Feltching Farmers AGM Funtime ATM
  2. Agreed, it's a shite state of affairs. I'm no fan of Khan, but none of the other candidates are a patch on him, from what I've seen/heard in interviews
  3. Yes, he'd be back saying "I told you so" no doubt. Provided if course he can get a decent signal in those Scottish graveyards
  4. The upcoming "slaughter" as you put it is nothing to do with having been in power for too long, absolutely nothing. It's because of how they've run the country since they allowed that dick Johnson to run the party, it's been downhill ever since then. To blame the fact it's down to being in power for a long time is ridiculous, and shows that you may be a little out of touch with the political feeling of the public, here in the UK
  5. Although, as a home owner.....high prices are a relatively good thing, with my selfish head on, I don't want them going down, I'd much rather they kept increasing 😁
  6. All the EV Charger companies I deal with are also now mid-term factoring in it being pushed back another 5 years from 2035 to 2040, as the entire industry knows that Europe is nowhere near going to have the sufficient infrastructure within a decade, in fact, it's not even going to be anywhere near close enough. I guess that's why EV car sales are absolutely tanking at the minute, and production of them is being slowed down massively
  7. And that 100% makes sense, as well as the banks allowing about 7x / 8x earnings to be taken into consideration. My second house, I was only earning £35K per year, and they allowed me to borrow just over £270K, ridiculous really
  8. fair point - I probably should have said irrelevant to most people in the UK. Scotland aside, and also folk who live in Brighton, I'm not sure anybody knows that much, or indeed cares that much, about what the Greens have to say. I agree that "green industry" could be a new revolution, but it won't be for a while yet, as previous and future Governments see it as a subject to kick as far down the road as possible (as demonstrated when they pushed the ICE car manufacturing ban back from 2030 to 2035) and in the main, the public when it comes down to it, don't give much of a fuck, as it's going to cost them in the pocket.
  9. I don't pretend to understand why you always refer to the Green Party as Communist, as I've never really looked into what they're all about, and they're of pretty much zero relevance here in the UK - however, I did hear somebody the other day on the radio refer to them as the Watermelon Party - Green on the outside, but masking deep red inside 🍉
  10. Population is growing, and yet we still are told that we'll need further immigration moving forward, as we have a declining indigenous population. We're going to need a lot more houses , apparently we'll need somewhere between 300K~500K new builds each year, moving forward. In 2023, there were only 230K new homes built - so you can see the problem Agree with @Traf about new council houses needing to be built, but I think we all know that won't happen to any great degree, unfortunately. As ever, it'll be the "lower paid" that will face the brunt of it, and be left behind. That's always been the case, and always will be unfortunately.
  11. Building, again, on the edge of our village, in an area that is always very muddy seems to hold a lot of water. We used to walk the dogs there all the time, and they'd always be filthy as it's constantly soft underfoot. Anyway, they've put the footings in about 6 months ago, and every week without fail, the entire site is flooded. They even bring a tanker round to pump out the drains on occasion. Those houses, when they're built, are 100% going to have problems
  12. No matter if you are for or against Brexit, you have to admit the whole continuation of "frictionless" trade has been a massive, massive balls up - The Government really should hang their head in shame at how unprepared, we were when we left, and we still are all these years later. It's a huge fuck up. I wasn't aware our imports were this high though
  13. I've now switched to chucking darts left-handed, just to try and make it a bit more interesting. I must admit, it did take a lot longer than I thought to master the art of chucking with the "wrong" hand - still, I like to think it wasn't a complete waste of 3 hours of my life
  14. waving them Brazilian flags 😁
  15. I'm not sure even he believes that's the case. A few more properties might become available, but nowhere near enough to make up the perceived shortfall, no way will prices start to come down, anybody who believes that is just simple. Prices are never going to come down, it'll just end up that 30/35/30 year mortgages become the norm, as is happening now - that's exactly what the banks and the Government want, so it'll continue. There is a reason house building targets are never met.....they don't want them to be
  16. What? Are you suggesting what might be almost a European Army. I remember some thinking that was the worst thing possible....and was one of the reasons for leaving the EU
  17. You seem to know a lot about this. Are you saying that the US are going to leave NATO when Trump is in charge, and that the Russians are going to go on the offensive?
  18. Flamethrowers........and then water cannons to put them out. And then cattle prods
  19. Or maybe he won't, Estonia is in NATO, he won't go up against NATO I wouldn't have thought
