If any one had offered a point before the game you would have took it !
2 hours 45 to get there, raining cats and dogs, stelios rumours, couldn't park and one nil down inside 2 minutes, the omens looked poor.
Come on, be happy with a point and get behind the lads !!!
Whilst we were sailing down to the ground in that lovely weather we decided to leave the "FLAG" in the car. We thought it would be like a small child, weight wise after the game. It will be up at West Ham though as the roof is better.
In the boozer before the game with Jules, Gumbo, Glossop Wanderer and the True Marple White.
Where does this agent get off !!
He is linking us with Fabrice Ferandes stating a number of premiership clubs are interested in him including Bolton.
He seems to whip up the attention and every deal that is linked with us and him falls flat on its face.
Will this one be any different ?
The game at Torquay when we lost 2 - 0 and Phil Neal departed afterwards
was pretty dire. Not one shot all game and one hell of a journey home.
6 - 0 at home to some local rival.
6 - 0 away to spurs in the cup.
The last few minutes at home to Crystal Palace at the reebok when we were 3 -1 up going into injury time and ended up drawing 3 - 3. That still annoys me even now !
Any more ??
2 goals stick in my mind :-
1) Mark Winstanley against Wrexham in the Sherpa van
2) Barry Cowdrill in the epic swindon cup ties that was disallowed
Any others ?
Never mind, at least we got home without having to "sleep in the car". The actual season that year was "almost unreal" as we said "how do you do " to the premiership at the end of it !!!
Have to agree, I hate it when Bolton lose but when we lost to fulham at the reebok I couldn't complain as we HAD been beaten by a far better side on the day.
Gumbo - a "joyride" up to carlisle was a good day, although the team "faded like a flower" and let in a last minute goal.
We certainly "got the look" from a few handy carlisle lads in that pub in the town centre, but it "must have been love" as we didn't get turned over.
Anyway, big following and teams that come up from the conference always do well !
