Port Vale (A)

Hoping this will be my first away of the season if I can get tickets, but away capacity is less than it used to be.  We'll be in the Bycars End, the Hamil Road now occupied by Vale fans.

Not sure what capacity of Bycars is but less than Hamil Rd so not likely to be enough to satisfy demand.

£25 in home end for this game so presume same for us.

Well I was pleasantly surprised, really enjoyable atmosphere, very positive, and more evidence of normal folk than anything unsavoury.  For the record, I never suggested we had more knobheads than oth

Fantastic. Wasn't it a strike day for this fixture last season with a much reduced service but still doable?

It rings a bell, can remember being in that pub afterwards and trying to work out what was still left running on the train site.

Just becoming the norm all this now, people just getting on with things and letting them crack on with striking it can't be good for their cause surely, whichever side of the argument people fall on.

Same as last year - there was a limited service running and it was sweltering.

Strikes are just the norm, I;m avoiding the train as much as possible at the minute but it's hard work planning anything.

Dont be such a bell end

Do some fucking research

A settlement would cost the country less than prolonging the strike

The drivers are on £60 a year without overtime- don’t deserve a penny increase

Chances of an avanti to stoke are reasonable even on a strike day

Makes me less likely to be arsed, i must say

Its not just about drivers, is it

And even if it was, you would still be missing the point

Strikes dont cost the TOCs as the govt compensate the foreign companies/govts who own them

Its typical, narrow minded, blind to reality, tory shite

£59k average salary.

But the strike isn't only about wages, as you full well know.

What’s it about then; their pensions are above most people as well.

it’s political and I won’t be voting for the Tory Party - left wing clowns ruining our country but Labour would be even worse. Anyway this should be about football
