Port Vale (A)

Hoping this will be my first away of the season if I can get tickets, but away capacity is less than it used to be.  We'll be in the Bycars End, the Hamil Road now occupied by Vale fans.

Not sure what capacity of Bycars is but less than Hamil Rd so not likely to be enough to satisfy demand.

£25 in home end for this game so presume same for us.

Well I was pleasantly surprised, really enjoyable atmosphere, very positive, and more evidence of normal folk than anything unsavoury.  For the record, I never suggested we had more knobheads than oth

Probably the two teams with the lowest wage budgets, Stevenage only just come up, Port Vale the season before last. If we have any aspirations of the top two, we need to be beating these teams.  They have both done well up to now, but wont be anywhere near the top come the end of the season.

Low budgets but some canny transfer business. Pair of banana skins so it's up to us to improve on our recent league form.

Aside from the 0-7 defeat on day 1, Vale games have been tight affairs.

Wins at 1-0, 3-2, 1-0, 2-1 and 1-0
Draws at 0-0 and 1-1 and 3-2 defeat

Any advice on where to park near ground would be greatly appreciated.

I parked on Chapel Lane last year. There's an inexpensive pay & display car park there, but also plenty of free on street parking in that area. Short walk to ground.

Throwback to the 80s a trip to Burslem

Was looking for parking recommendations myself so cheers, but more importantly, seeing as it's not me driving, anyone know a nearby pub for away fans for a couple of pre match pints??

2-0.

Burslem is fine if you’re not mob handed.

Most say no away fans though.

Bulls Head is away friendly and one for the real ale enthusiasts.

I can’t even be arsed to see what he says but I can imagine.

He's not said anything any normal person would interpret as "getting his excuses in early".

I know you won’t appreciate a long post of Evatts words 😊. But nothing for any drama queens to be getting their knickers in a twist about 😉

He states a few facts about the injuries then finishes by saying…

“it is a case of rolling up our sleeves and finding a way to get results.”

Made me smile that.

How the fuck would you know anything about a “normal person”?

Lunatic.

I’m gutted we’ve become attendance bores. People used to laugh at Leeds. Now it’s the norm.

I don’t think so it’s only about 60 minute trip from Bolton.
