XL Bully Dogs

Not surprised that they're getting banned tbh, the stats don't lie.

Just curious if the breed does get banned by the end of the year, what happens to the many thousands of XL Bully dogs out there? One massive cull or something?

  • It is amazing how many bad owners own these type of dogs, all Labrador owners must be brilliant. I think having the desire to have one of these, other than to guard your scrap yard, should automatical

Fucking awful.  I'm an animal lover, but they all need culling.

Does seem to have been all at once.. its very strange

I don't understand all these attacks all of a sudden

Have they had the vaccine or summut?

It's odd

They've been bummed by George Soros' 5g covid bats.

Are XL bully dog owners trying to prove a point at the moment

Or disprove one, then inadvertently proving one

It's like they've all decided to let them walk off the lead or let them near strangers to prove they aren't all bad

attack in Horwich, where it occured came as no surprise

https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/25216056.xl-bully-killed-horrific-attack-woman-horwich/

An XL Bully dog was shot after attacking a woman in Horwich.

Police said that they were called to reports of a dog "dangerously out of control" at around 4pm on Wednesday (June 4).

The woman was injured in the attack which took place in Singleton Avenue, but her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

An eyewitness, who saw the aftermath of the attack, said: "Honestly, it was horrific, the dog was covered in blood - the lady must be in a pretty bad way.

"Paramedics couldn't get to the injured lady because of the dog - a guy had pinned the dog to the floor for a good 20 minutes before the police turned up.

"He's one brave man."

XL Bully dogs were banned in February on last year

Officers tried to secure the dog safely, but because of the risk it posed to the public, it was destroyed.

No arrests have been made at the time of writing and police enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said: "At around 4pm yesterday (June 4), officers were called to reports of a dog dangerously out of control in Singleton Avenue, Horwich.

"A woman received injuries that are thankfully not believed to be life-threatening.
"Specialist officers attempted to safely secure the dog, but due to the ongoing risk it posed to the public, the animal was humanely destroyed at the scene.

"No arrests have been made at this time and enquiries are ongoing.

"We understand the concerns that this incident will raise and want to reassure the public that this was an isolated incident, with officers acting in a challenging situation to ensure the safety of the wider public."

One of the siblings of my son’s teammate had her face half chewed off last year by their XL Bully. The authories destroyed the dog, despite their protest believe it or not. Never showed any signs and came completely out of the blue. Think she was asleep and it just came up and clamped its jaws around her mouth.

really worrying that they have that ‘switch’ and the daughter has some pretty significant scarring after multiple surgeries, for the rest of her life

Absolutely mental but I can also absolutely believe it

I’m a big believer in nature and nurture.

The ones protecting drugs here are horrible and aggressive. My neighbour who is a chilled out stoner has one and he’s like a giant puppy. Shows his blanket etc. he’s never been exposed to aggression though.

There's plenty of stories about XL bullies like that though

Giant puppy, no signs of aggression, good with children, etc.

And then a sudden attack

It's in their bloodline innit.

Like a retriever retrieves stuff without being shown too.

XL were bred to fight from the start of their existence. They'll always have that snap unfortunately.

Exactly. Their unpredictability makes them as dangerous as aggression

Yeah I agree but they always seem to be from the people who look like they bollock there dog / kick them.

people also let their kids mess with dogs. Sit on em etc and don’t read the signs.

I am glad they are banned but people need to understand it’s their behaviours that factor in it. Don’t let your kids be cunts pulling at them etc

Nurture can only go so far.

Once watched a documentary about someone who hand reared some orphaned wolf cubs.

All fine and cudly whilst little, but once they got that bit older, they weren't able to domesticate them, and they were released back into the wild.

The right thing of course, but the "owners", having rescued them, weren't sure they would ever be able to be released but their instinctive nature came through.

Clearly XLs are bred from domestic dogs, but that breeding is specifically done to create something to impart fear with a potential for extreme aggression.

It has, hence why they protect drug houses.

my point being some good exist and with a lot of dogs it people acting cunts and not reading the signs.

One of mine will show his teeth first for a bit to warn you off. Need to read. I wouldn’t leave kids alone with any dog and mine are tiny

They're the Stone Island of the dog world. The people who have them are always massive gimps
