Im sure the women’s game would benefit from smaller pitches and goals.

The womens game can be greatly improved by having male goalkeepers, although I suspect there would be a lot more 0:0 games

Sort these minor things and I'd be watching every week.

Yes, there's been a lot written about ACLs specifically and it seems there are still a range of conclusions. Was chatting with my daughter's coach about it and this is an interesting piece about it

Yes, and it's not just football. Anyway, its an age old problem, I'll let those who have just discovered the word meritocracy and not getting stratification either lingustically or sociologically have this little side-fluster on twitter.

You actually think Dwight Yorke hasnt got managers jobs becasue he is black?

What do you base this on?

This is a good piece by women in sports looking at some off the numbers, and its easy to see why there is a drop off around 14/15 yars of age when numbers below are not too dissimilar in terms of engagement. I know why daughters team at U13 had a drop off to where they struggled to get players and in the previous year they didn't, but then U15's there was a dedicated bunch. This is about all sports though

The stats around father's supporting sons more than daughter's when it comes to participation are a bit drepressing, consdering boys and girls feel equally supported by mums or step-mums.

As I say, I'll leave it to those who feel that society has no stratifcation when it comes to opportunities to go down this rabbit hole.

Google is your friend on this, and there's more than enough reading on the subject, the facts are out there in terms of social bias, which is not just about opportunties but also also participation and entry into fields. Have a read around, see what you find. You might still hold the view that football is a completely level playing field, many do not. I mean I'm not getting started on critical race theory and saying pick up a copy of Pedagogy of the Oppressed but there's more than just one grifting idiot windbang having a go at a seemingly not very nice bloke and basing all structional inequality (or not) on this.

I'm not on about just one bloke not getting a job, but I suspect you know this.

So Dwight Yorke sends his CV to the Chairman of say Stoke City.

Are we really thinking Peter Coats is opening that CV then throwing it in the bin because Dwight Yorke is black?

they need to look at themselves first

over 40% of the african nations employ a white european as their manager

For all Dwight Yorke's faults, he wasn't (& still isn't) in the same bell end ball park as Joey Barton was, and yet the Chairman of Fleetwood took a punt on him.  I suspect there are plenty of middle aged, white chairmen, who won't take a punt on a black player trying to break into management, let alone one with baggage.

Thats a lot of words to just say you dont know.

No, its a paragraph to say do your own thinking and reading.

I'm not sitting here googling links for you or posting books you might want to read to explain why your position is narrower in scope than Rees-Mogg's inside leg measurement.

Its also a bigger issue that Dwight Yorke, which I thought you might understand, but it appears you don't.

Darren Lewis says Dwight Yorke can't get a job in management because he is black.

Im not really arsed about the wider scope.

Im saying its absolute bollocks.

If Dwight Yorke was any good he would be employed in management.
