Not sure they fell out as such. Lolos was an 18 year old kid. Grown men don't 'fall out' with kids. But i think Lolos wasn't quite at the level (ability or attitude) Plymouth wanted at the time (SS became manager around the same time Lolos left).

SS would be a bigger weapon than IE ever was if he let a 6 year old grudge determine whether or not to keep a lad on now. Reality is that Lolos isn't up to it. Always looked a League Two player to me when I have seen him. 

Definitely an element of SS trying to break up troublesome core in the squad, but i think McAtee will stay and I think we will see better from him this season. Lolos clearly not wanted but he will be on the financial gig of his life with us and could sit out 2 more years if he wanted I guess (albeit his career prospects at that point wouldn't be great)

You've pretty much nailed it there bells.

I wouldn't have minded seeing Lolos get a bit of a run earlier in the season to be honest, but having brought in a bigger guy, Evatt didn't seem to want to use him.

Once SS came in, the writing was on the wall.

Whether there has been a subsequent breakdown of relations, who knows, but if the lad isn't training with the first team, then ties need to be cut ASAP.

So assuming he wants to play, he's either going out on loan to L1 or L2, or we're selling him to MK Dons 😀  They must be getting inundated with calls from agents touting their out of favour players willing to drop down to L2.

A 3 year deal seems generous for a relatively unproven player at this level, until compared to the 4 year contracts we're giving out now!

I agree that Lolos isn't up to it. Any feud may be from a scorned Lolos not liking Schumacher than the other way around.

Sorry - I am just assuming it's 3 years. He was out of contract so they usually are. But it 'could' be 2.

As for the 4 year deals, I do have genuine concerns over these. It seems to me the club is doing what it needs to do to convince players to come here over other clubs. I guess they'll say its a calculated risk - time will tell.

I can certainly see Lolos going out on loan, with us subsidising some wages. Plenty London clubs in League One and Two would seem logical destinations.

It was.  Contracted until June 2027.      Thought he was older than 24, but if he wants to waste the best years of his career training in the B Team he's stupid.  No point in taking him to Spain if SS doesn't want him.

His age surprised me too. Agree he's daft if he sits it out (I don't think he will) but if he's a short term thinker and is on really good money, he might be daft enough to do it.

It really is some dismantling job being undertaken by the manager etc.

It's a massive gamble but one I'm all for.

Said at the end of last season there was not one of them that would upset me if they left. Nothing has changed. 
 

Just hope if we are not 10 points clear by late August people remember this.

I'd be a bit disappointed if Sheehan or Morley left but that's about it.

I actually had to go through the whole squad thinking I must have forgotten somebody, but alas no.

The rest at best merit a 'meh' with a few 'woohoos'.

 

 

I'm not sure that there is space for Randall, Sheehan and Morley, given the new midfielders he has brought/is targeting.

Agreed in principle, but it depends who's replacing them.

I wasn't gutted when Dapo left (he wasn't playing well and/or out of position/starting 11) but if you'd told me we'd be replacing him with the likes of Vic, Dan and Williams (ie left sided attacker) I'd have been fuming.

Not many would be gutted at losing McAtee or Randall, but when you see Etete coming in you realise there are worse out there.

But we trust SS to only get rid if he's bringing better in.

To play devils advocate on Dapo, we took 1.7 points a game that season until he left.

We took 1.85 after he left.

Absolutely a quality player, but nobody ever quite knew where to play him (well, I'm sure the collective coaches of WanderersWays did 🙂 but you get my drift).

He certainly wasn't 'like for like' replaced, and of course Vic and Dan are not at his level, but i think there's a good argument in his case that losing him was better for the team.

As for Etete, I don't like to criticise players, but one of the worst I've seen. He goes in the Owen Garvan locker!

I'm saying he's the worst you know.

He can't even run.

There's not one single positive or attribute I saw in him.

He can't run properly, can't tackle head or kick it.

I'm 100% sure he's an Ali Dia wind up situation and it will be exposed in some C4 show in a few months where it's one big laugh.

There is absolutely no case to argue that. If we had a player as good as him but the manager couldn't use him in his bizarre, & ultimately failed, systems then it's the manager who needed looking at.

I don't think it can be understated how much of a shit start this will cause, he'll have no preseason coming off a famously reinjurable issue, whilst we still don't have another proper striker option in the building getting minutes and time with the squad for preseason either.
