July 17, 2025Jul 17 One of my first ever BWFC heroes. Always remember kids in the Embankment wearing mining helmets to the match with 'Wyn' etc. painted on. RIP 'The Leap'.

July 18, 2025Jul 18 Another childhood hero gone. With Wyn in that forward line we always believed we’d score - there was never a lost cause. I swear that I haven’t seen anyone jump as high and head the ball as well as Wyn apart from maybe Cristiano Ronaldo. Wyn was the definitive target man - a proper old school centre forward - and an absolute gentleman who always made time for the fans and kids like me. Legend. Edited July 18, 2025Jul 18 by Wanderlust

Told him he was my first Bolton idol and when he came back to collect it, he brought loads of photos from his days at Burnden and spent 1/2 hour talking about them. When your boyhood hero is everything you thought they were.😊 Just called down to Burnden Asda to take this photo. It’s part of a larger one but it was partly obscured with a plant rack. Taken against United in 1963 and the position of the photo is almost exactly where the action took place. You can see why he was called ‘The Leap’ RIP WYN.
