He was playing for Northampton last season and IIRC got injured in that match we won 4-2, I'm not sure he played again for them, it was fairly long term and he only managed 13 games for them all season.

God knows how City have a player like that on their books for so long, are they a bit short of players, down to their last 100?

We should be confident already, because we are good enough.  We don't need to beat some kids to get some misplaced confidence, that's done by getting results in proper games (not having a dig at you BTW, I just find the confidence thing from these games a bit over-rated, the players know these games are glorified training exercises).
