November 3, 2025Nov 3 The folk who live opposite to us have taken their Halloween decorations down and replaced them with Xmas decs. Surely too soon ? case for the defence they have young kids , eldest is about 6 so proper enjoying Xmas age. Case for the prosecution it is 3rd November.
November 3, 2025Nov 3 Too soon for me, but if it makes them happy, then fair enough. Mrs Sweep works with a girl who put all her decorations up this weekend, the tree and everything. She does it the first weekend of November every year, that's odd enough, but she then takes everything down and shoves it back in the loft on Boxing Day every year, which I find just as peculiar. I've noticed all the Xmas lights have gone up in our village over the weekend, I'm not sure when they're going to be turned on, but they're most definitely up and ready

I get why some folk put everything away between Christmas and New Year though.

I agree, Boxing Day is still Christmas - we always put everything away before New Year, and it goes up first weekend of December usually.
