I wonder if anyone on their team bus home asks Duff ‘ Boss why when we are on top in a game do we start wasting time and pretending we are dead rather than trying to win the game?’

Good to see Morley get a good reception.

The game highlights the problem with 2 in midfield when you get over run. Need a bit of quality on ball to get wingers in the game which we did not have from minutes 3 to 85.

Quite enjoyable I thought 😂😎👍

Surely Apter has had his chance now, he’s got to drop to the bench and earn his spot back by showing something when he comes on.

I keep saying that it’ll click but he was fucking terrible in that first half (Tutu wasn’t helping him). He’s way down our list of wingers based on current levels.

Give some credit to the opposition as well.  Wycombe were by a mile the best team we've played here this season for the first 80 minutes.  Deserved to score 4 or 5.  Teams usually give us the ball, this lot refused to and some of their passing and movement was a class above L1.

Look at my stats link earlier.

As I said, it's bizarre.

Overall, their passing accuracy was quite poor.

Effective where it counts though.

Nice touch from the crowd, especially considering the situation at the point he was taken off.

Also thought the remembrance for the 33 was done nicely and an impeccable minutes silence.

Booing the team during the first half was not so classy!

CBT completely changed that game for me.

Can't start Aptar again.

Would also start Cissoko over Gale

The refusal to play a right footed right winger is really holding us back.  Apter was poor on his debut which seems ages ago, and its been shown since that that's his level.  But apparently we have to keep giving him a chance because one day he might score.  So might Randall.

Gale finally got 15 minutes on the right wing, put a cracking cross in just before he got subbed.  Him on the right and CBT on the left (with Cissoko replacing either of them as required) would give the oppo something to think about.

Three up top, high press, high line, they made us give it away a lot then used it well. Bit of risk in it, as Gale's early chance showed, but they felt it was worth it.

Morley and Boyd Munce won the middle v Sheehan and Erhahon, Onyedinma targeted Johnston and gave him a rough time. Noticed at HT they'd had more possession, had put 20 crosses in and we'd had to make 27 clearances.

They did a number on us, at least for that half, different after HT and we'd have been back in it early doors but for the goal line issue. Eventually, despite the pantomime shithousing, their legs gave out

I don't mind Cissoko but he wouldn't have got a kick in that 1st half.  Gale was our only outlet because we had no possession but 2 or 3 times his sheer pace got us on the front foot.  Did OK for me and it was encouraging that he at least got a bit of a go on the right, seeing a right winger beat his man and cross with his right took me back to the postman!

Our fresh blood against tired defences has been highly effective but we don’t want to have to depend on it too often. Have to say that Duff helped us today switching to a back 5 and trying to hang on at the end especially after their packed midfield had worked so well for so long - he lost faith in his team and bottled it I thought.

Yes they really retreated after our 1st goal.  They changed shape and tactics and it played into our hands.  We have great attacking potential but they refused to let us show it in the first half by relentlessly being all over us.  Then they took off some of their attacking threat and the tide turned.  It still took some great moves and fantastic finishing from us to avoid defeat, but we wouldn't have had that opportunity if they hadn't tried to be a bit too clever when they were so far ahead of us.

I've been relaxed about who we play in the play offs upto now but after today I'd really like to avoid Wycombe, they are miles ahead of the likes of Reading and Huddersfield.

I was pretty much in line in West Upper, appeared to be clear daylight between ball and line.

No fan at all of VAR and dont want it but goal line tech ought to be possible through the 4 divisions by now

Have you tried getting reception on the concourse in that place? Wouldn’t want a decision pending on signal 😂

Let’s worry about the downside tomorrow . We’ve all now got an unexpected evening to fully enjoy . Great comeback and although they fully deserved their 2 goal lead until 85 minutes and  could have buried us … they decided to play the dark arts card and waste as much time as possible .
Tactics like this should never prevail and just deserts were well and truly served😊😊

If we'd had VAR, we wouldn't have had "that" moment after the CBT goal.  You just know there would have been some infringement either as he hit the shot or in something that happened in the preceding minute.  Or 2.

That's what VAR robs football fans of.  That moment.

Starts all day. It didn't matter the other week v Blackpool how fresh they were, he terrorised them first half and we should have been 3 up. Gale's nowhere near his level.

The big headscratcher about us is us having a sackful of wingers, no10s and strikers but persisting with 4 at the back when we haven't a LB.  Johnston, with Gale in front of him, is a real weak link, they knew it, targeted it and fully exposed it

We get targeted down both sides because we have such attacking wingers and the full backs are also expected to attack but left with no cover.

The current issue is that the 2 we're currently playing aren't fullbacks - Conway and Christie should start for me.

LB especially should be a real strength for us as most of the league would take Conway off us in a heartbeat - strange one to keep playing a centre back there.

Definitely. He has done less than any of the other wingers but is getting his place because he's left footed - Cissoko may be a possibility out there given he's 2 footed...?

Imagine when Cozier Duberry is back fit and he's in one side with Blackett Taylor on the other

Conway had looked shot before his injury. I’m not sure the reasoning for GJ playing there since he’s been fit again - although we’ve been doing well and he’s looked ok generally - but there’s no doubt that Conway looked more like his early season self when he came on today.

Hopefully he is and he’s benefitted from that break. Conway of the first 10-15 games would be a massive lift for the last part of the season.

Do you reckon they’re home now? Not so much the players, but the 400 plucky souls who are wondering WTF just happened?

When Rodriguez came on he was biz at first then found his composure, hopefully he will settle nicely into the team

Very impressed with his composure and strength, a couple of times he could have been dispossessed and held off the challenges.  Along with his goal, very encouraging.

Taylor needed to be capable of playing a few games to keep Conway fresh, as I agree, he looked shot by Jan. A good 6 weeks off now for him though so should be good to the end of the season and is by far our best option at left back

I wonder of there is any radio commentary available, like JD did for the Forest win?

Would love to hear it.

Ben's Vlogg will be interesting.

If Apter is it on the right till ACD's back we might as well play CBT left and Gale right, Apter was like a young kid playing men's football, not robust enough to make any impression

That last 10 minutes was something truly special. What an entertaining season this has been so far.

Seemed to me that coming off the back of a 5-1 away win and creating a clear cut chance in the first minutes our lads thought this would be easy street. There was no desire to do the basics or show any level of fight early on.

I knew we'd be ok 2nd half after a rollocking but being 2 down makes it so difficult. Not keen on booing the team at HT but felt it was warranted today as it was clear a massive wake up call was needed.

Thought SS had messed up with the triple subs as it seemed we were on top and it took the steam out of things, I know being 2-0 down at home hes got to be seen to be going for it but leaving us with no central midfield was crazy, thought we would lose by 4 or 5 but what do I know. Well played to all involved.

Absolutely buzzing.
