Bradford Home - 1st Leg Saturday 9th May

Same process as before - you can secure your own seats.

Need to put yesterday’s disappointment behind us and fill the place.

Let’s take a good lead over to Bradford.

On the piss in the afternoon prior to an 8pm kick-off on a Saturday, should make it a belting atmosphere under the lights.

COYFWM 👏

Johnston gets a lot of shit, he was great tonight and clearly really fired up for it. The right attitude for the next two games.

You beat me to it.  If we had a penalty in the play off final, I'd be happy to wheel him on and take it, even at his age.

Free kicks, corners, penalties, shots from the edge of the box, 30 yard passes, he was quality.

Remember him scoring a big goal in a play off final for Leicester v Glen Hoddle's Swindon when they were still on ITV.

Why ?

On a positive note, he not only struck it well but it reached the goal without bouncing

He was.  Chandler's successes were during his first stint here.  I'm sure he scored over a dozen in succession and cant recall him missing one. Ironically, at the other end, Farnworth was pretty good at keeping them out. He couldn't catch a cold though!

I still remember the day we sold Diouf to Liverpool for £10m. It feels like yesterday.

You're misremembering. He played for us first after we signed him on the back of a successful Euros with Senegal

We took him on loan from Liverpool then signed him permanently from Liverpool .

I think the Euros with Senegal showed he was taking the piss

All this talk of Bolton penalty takers and no mention of Alan Thompson and his thunder bastard approach.

I’ve still got my program from our UEFA Cup winners cup final in 1977.

Best Penalty taker we have had in my memory was Okocha . With his arrow straight run up the keeper had no clue about where he might put it . He missed one against Man City hitting the post and was so disgusted with himself he then beat city almost single handedly in a 2-0 win .

other honourable mentions in Speed , Andrews, FrillySkirt (as my dad annoyingly called him ) , Tomo both Alan & Steve .

The battle for free kicks and penaltys between Steve Thompson & Tony Philliskirk was brilliant for us , one left footed , one right footed and both lethal .

Up until now I hadnt thought about who takes our penalties in the current squad . Probably Burstow , maybe RR . We havent had enough penalties over the last 2  years to know who is good and who isnt . How many did Charles miss ?
