Well he obviously isn’t learning from it because he’s stated he didn’t do anything wrong and it was the mindset and DNA of the players that cost us. The guy is deluded just like two tier who thinks he’s left the country in good shape!!

Simple question do you want someone who put Dan burn up front in the World Cup Semi Final while Ollie Watkins looked on from the bench taking us to the Euros??

Yes.

In 1915, Winston Churchill made a major blunder resulting in a quarter of a million Allied casualties. He got it right at the next major comp.

I've not heard one person whether a fan , opponent or pundit say it was anything other than a shambles. I was starting to like TT but after that I'd be happy to see him go. Some say that he will learn a lesson from this but I'm not so sure about that. Get Kier Starmer in.

Loads of 0-0 draws and U turn away from the penalty area when you get close to goal.

I think the TT club manager is polar opposite the International TT. When first appointed i thought at last England have got it right. In club football he can mould a team into his ideas which have always been a high press and swamping the opposition when going forward. Could never do that with England and especially Kane. He is a one trick pony who cannot bully international players like he could club players......His selections are woeful and strange.....In all honesty i have no idea who they replace him with and the weak FA may just carry on with him

To be fair it was the Conservatives who put the blame on Churchill for the Dardanelles Campaign. The offfical inquiry described him as overly optimistic.

That said, I don't think he particularly learnt from it, there are a fair few examples of him making similar mistakes in WW2.

I just love the flips of fickle football fans. Lauded after the Croatia and Mexico victories. One loss and shit canned.

No doubt he will lead us into the Euros. No doubt he will do well.

Did he win?

I rest my case m'lud.

To be fair the case is flawed as he won both...

Just got dropped after the quarters in the first one, spent the semis in the trenches, and by the final he was back in the first team, even though the right thought him too woke.

Made a huge difference as well as Minister of Munitions fwiw.

Surprised this is the hill Bolty is prepared to die on.

He's blaming England's DNA and lack of passers etc.

He left them all at home the massive fucking weirdo.

He opted for a team of attacking wingers that can barely pass the ball. 4 of the fucking things.

If he wanted ball players he had Palmer Foden and Trent all sat at home who can pass the ball better than any of our squad combined.

What a deluded wanker. Sack him now.

Sticking up for tuchel a touch on one tiny detail it wasn't his squad selection that let him down it was the in game management.

At 1-1 Bellingham broke away and had no cunt up there with him to pass to at that point I knew we'd fucked it.

He was brought in for the very reason of getting through those big games. We’ve been able to get to that point for a long time now and so he shouldn’t really get much credit for it.

His game management was Evatt-esque, he completely went to pot at the very moment he was here for. And now he’s shifting blame.

That last half an hour was as bad as Southgate starting a World Cup semi with a midfield 3 of Henderson, Alli and Lingard.

Can't believe what he's said.

What an absolute nob head.

The players won't have that and why should they.

There’s not many English managers to go for. To be honest the next manager could be the head of the Taliban for all I care as long as he brings it home. Pep and Klopp would obviously be a good shout but it looks like we are stuck with him for the next tournament.

Moving away from the managers and how kids are coached over here I read this comment last night and I agree with it massively

“Until we learn in academy football we should be teaching technical players to be great athletes and not athletes to be great footballers we will always fall short,

If you look at Spain and Argentina, where are the big strong athletes who can run and run and run”

so he has a few choices here

if he has a vision of how to play but doesn't think he has the players to fulfil it, then leave

if he wants to stick with his vision, use the players that are the best equipped to do it, unless he doesn't think they are good enough

change his vision and find one that fits with the players at his disposal

it wasn't DNA that put 6 defenders to defend a lead despite previously commenting on how not to do things in big matches

feel he's already got bad relationships with many of the players

Klopp is getting the Germany job apparently

Read an article about Tuchel, might have been when he took over at Chelsea. Basically said at Dortmund and PSG he fell out with everyone

It said that whilst he could be a great manager, there is however a 'but'

Do me a favour.

You left all your ball players at home and went for 4 like for like wingers and 2 injured full backs.

That's on you. Not DNA.

Top flight English managers are Eddie Howe, Frank Lampard, Michael Carrick and formerly of this parish Gary O'Neill

I was sure you'd come back with 'he only won because the Americans came in'.

I had my "Tuchel may recruit Ted Lasso" line all prepared.

You need to calm down mate. You'll be falling off a ladder or summat.

had a look at spain and Argentina managers

won a world cup and their continental titles between them

neither done anything in club management

maybe they understand their DNA

Is it not really just the case that we've continued getting knocked out by the first big team we've faced

We did well against Germany in 2020 (although it could be argued we hit them at the right time) but in general it just seems no matter who's been in charge we've followed the same pattern with easier draws

Granted, it's an improvement on getting knocked out by Iceland and failing to qualify in 2008
