Andy Walker....

Can just see him now wheeling away with his hand in the air after bagging one at Burnden.

Celebrating in front of an (usually) empty embankment.

"He, (Dunfermline Athletic chairman, John Yorkston ) just pulled the rugs out from under the players' carpets "

Legend he was, and legend he still is.

strange, coz they aint like that in shunkys movies?

now then does that site show clearly a massive jump in crowds from our last season in the premiership at burnden to our first season in premiership at th'reebok ?

and how come on so many of the 7,8,9000 crowds at burnden have been forgotten.

we got just over 16,000 for a cup game against leeds which given they bought 2-3000 it is strange no one was moaning then

It was just the other day i was saying to my young munich scrote at work that it was Andy Walker who got the ball rolling for the recent success we have been having. Everyone says Supa John is the man but really Andy is my hero.

Phil Neal got the ball moving first :-$

The interview big Dave did with Walker after the Preston match was classic....."no your the hero, no you are dave!!"

Andy Walker = legend

John McGinlay = legend

Both in same front line = Best forward line we've had albeit in lower divisions but relative to the football clubs we were playing at the time.

I also think the two of them would easily hold their own in the Prem.

Neal, kind of stabilised a fast sinking ship but didn't have enough to get it back to the upper divisions.

We can thank him for the puchase of Walker and we can thank the board for getting rid of him when they did.

Went to Andy Walker's comeback match in the reserves after his knee injury - along with about 6000 others

'nuff said

Is he not worth bearing in mind as a future after dinner speaker?

I cant remember who the opposition were bu t i do remember a cross coming in from the right and andy walker attempting a scissors kick from the edge of the box and the ball going out for a throw. everybody around me in the paddock was pissing themselves laughing (we were winning at the time as was the norm that season) and i distinctly remember a bloke next to me said 'bloody hell he's good but he's not that good. who does he think he is van basten' 2 minutes later same situation cross from the right, walker edge of area, scissors kick, both feet off the floor, and he absolutely rattled the crossbar, i am sure it would still be shaking now :D

the look on the blokes face next to me was superb he just didnt say anything. :D :D :D :D

Andy Walker is a fooking legend
