i dont know if this topic has been raised on here before,

but who is the best player you've actually seen live at the game? everyones seen footage of pele,maradonna and the likes,therefore its easy to name them as the best you've ever seen,but in truth the most people have actually have seen of these players is edited highlights.

as most on here,the players ive had the pleasure of seeing live are pretty much confined to bolton games,scatterd with various england games. the one player that sticks out for me is ruud gullitt,he played with complete controll and composure and stuck out from everyone else on the pitch every time i saw him.

Zinedene Zidan at Old Trafford when he was playing for Juventus. I got an invite from a supplier and when Juve scored I jumped up. A United fan at the back of me asked if I was Italian and I just said no, I'm from Bolton!

Playing at burnden park......against us...either Ruud GULLET. Absolut master of time and use of space. Made the ball do all the work. Or the legendary Georgi HAAGI. He was playing for(que anoraks) I think Brescia at the time in 't th'anglo italian cup. He was head and shoulders above everybody...and he's only a shortars!

Hierro was the greatest passer of the ball I have ever seen. He'd spread the play like butter, and see passes that nobody in the stands could see. Pure genius.

 

Youri was fantastic too, so was Okocha.

Eidur Gudjohnson, even though not as big name as Hierro, Youri or Jay-Jay, was still a class act. When we played Wimbledon FA CUp 5th round, he took on 5/6 players and slotted it in. World Class

i cant recall the match but jay jay pinged a 50yard ball to youri who had to move 3feet to reach it, the look of disgust on youris face was unbelievable, he then pinged it back and dropped it on jay jay's toe and said thats how you do it

I often saw the disgust on youris face when he played alongside Campo. His face could tell a story and it said "This f??cker can't pass the ball and he is pinching a living"

For Bolton it has to be a draw between Youri and Hierro

 

I saw Zidane in Euro 2004 against Greece. Was'nt the best time to judge him as they lost and went out, but you could tell he was class, the ball stuck to him like glue

If this is our best team ever at the moment. one of the reasons is the influence of TBH at the back, i've not seen a better defender play for us.His reading of the game and tackling are not bettered by anyone even Dave Sutton or Glen Keeley. :bb

Game was played 12 a-side in second half when both keepers were subbed and told the benches they weren't coming off, throw me a shirt!
