Horwich Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 TUESDAY ODDS SINGLES Only two sides have lost ten or more aways in League Two and one of them is Shrews- bury. They have won their last two at CARLISLE, but that was when the Cumbrians were flirting with relegation three and four years ago whereas now they are more than flirting with auto promotion. Seeing as both Grimsby and Wycombe have awkward away games, Carlisle will see this as a good chance to regain top spot. The team news is the clincher with the Shrews claiming six players are unlikely to feature. They do not have a big squad. Stake 75 points on Carlisle at 8/13 generally available. In the same Division, STOCKPORT are interesting at 11/8 for the visit of Rochdale. County won at Dale exactly a month ago and since then they have lost only one in six, a run in- cluding four points off high-flying Grimsby and Wycombe. With Torquay playing Bury tonight, a win here would guarantee that they are off the bottom of the table. Stake 15 points on Stockport at 11/8 with Stan James. Stockport's one defeat in their run came at home to LINCOLN, another side looking to complete the double. The Imps thrashed Barnet 4-1 at home on January 14th and have since collected 10 points from four games. The Bees have scored fewer home goals than any team in the lowest two leagues. With the four teams immediately above them all play- ing each other, Lincoln have an excellent chance of jumping into the play off zone if they win. They are an excellent two-way chance given that they have drawn nearly half their games, but the single is worth taking too. Stake 15 points on Lincoln at 9/5 with Bet365. If IPSWICH are serious in pushing for a play-off lace, it's no good winning at Southampton or local rivals Norwich if they don't then win against long winless teams like Crewe. Stake 20 points on Ipswich at 5/4 with Stan james or Bet365. Across the Channel, there's a hint of value about ST. ETIENNE. No French team was harder hit by the ACN than the Saints who had six players out in Egypt. Their defence was hit especially hard as their last four results show. Now re-inforced they are a value at odds- against to complete the double over Nice and repeat last season's narrow win. Stake 15 points on ST. ETIENNE at 11/10 with the Tote, Blue Square and BetDirect. TWO-WAYS Safety first. Cover Lincoln and Hull with BOTH X AND 2 with Bet365. Two-way double = 4 bets. Stake 12 points per bet. Millwall have scored only seven homes goals and won just two homes. They were junk at QPR on Saturday and have scored one in six. Hull have scored three in winning each of their last two aways. Secondly, will fortune favour the brave? Rushden have certainly improved recently and their only defeat in their last five was at local rivals Northampton, the team with the best home defence outside the Premiership. Tonight they have three players back, whereas hosts Wrexham have six out. The Welsh have done well despite injuries on and off for most of the season, but I would make them 10/11 shots at best for this under the circum- stances, so the Tote's 4/1 against the shock away win is wrong, though I prefer Bet365's 11/4 against the draw (with the away at 7/2). Our first approach is simply to add the game to the double just recommended. Cover Hull, Lincoln and Rushden with BOTH X AND 2. Two-way treble = 8 bets. Stake 3 points per bet. However, the same bookie has pushed QPR out to 9/2 for a result at London rivals Palace, who will almost certainly be missing Johnson and Riihilahti, while Hudson and Hall are banned and two others doubtful. QPR responded well to the appointment of a new Manag- er last week. Cover QPR and Rushden with BOTH X AND 2, yet again with Bet365. Two- way double = 4 bets. Stake 5 points per bet. ACCA With Stan James, cover any 3 of Ipswich, Hull, Lincoln, Carlisle and Stockport = 10 bets. Stake 3 points per bet and risk 3 points on all five - the five-timer pays 64/1. Quote

Traf Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 50.00 down for the day overall Thank fcuk for Madrid I, too, am rather pleased that Madrid was my main bet. I had a small wager on Liverpool being under 2.5, but I think midweek football is shit to bet on now. Remember the night we played at Pompey and every result was strange? Quote
Traf Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Liverpool, Leeds and Leicester treble. 5.00 stake gets you 47.25 with bet 365 Unlucky with Leicester there! A total ragging write-off for the Wways punters tonight. We must have lost a small fortune between us. Barry lost ??50, I was ??80 down, despite 30@1.4 on over 2.5 goals and 20@2.2 on over 3 goals in Madrid. Horwich and CWP will have lumped on Carlisle and Northy 33 lost. Quote
