Biggest problem is they allow those ruddy drummers in.

If it were down to me, we'd lose the fireworks, the dancers, the fat blokes with flags, the music and Lofty.

Get back to basics.

And turn the tellys off downstairs - how many people actually go to the Bok and dont make it to the stands ?

considering its a business, you save a shitload of cash too!

they could then knock that money off ticket prices...

Fireworks at football grounds, wtf is that all about? I hope they manage to track down that nutter who threw that flare at Upton Park last week as football doesn't need people putting others at risk.

If they got rid of Lofty then there'd be a wild lion roaming the streets of Bolton, which would be DANGEROUS.

I've said it before on this forum. The Reebok Rhythm thing is beyond a joke. They're merely reacting to the beat of the song being sung instead of creating the atmosphere for the crowd to react to.

Rather than constantly spouting off about the negatives of the Reebok, has anybody got any constructive ideas about improving things.

If there are no constructive ideas, then what's the point of threads like this? If you're looking for an excuse not to go, then don't go.

No wonder other clubs fans think we are the worst supporters around. Reading moaning threads like this, when the staff of the club are working their balls off for BWFC, to achieve unprecendented success is an insult.

I don't go to the home games anymore. And if lads want to critisize the place, why can't they? A ST costs a fair whack, so if you're paying good money & not enjoying the game, then why not complain?

And I can't think of ANYTHING I like about the Reebok. I won't slag the players or the manager, but the ground & location is fair game.

Things I like about the Reebok

1. Dead easy for me to get there.

2. Not paddling in other people piss.

Ithen why not complain?

PB

my only problem is what people complain about

theres plenty i don't like

price, location, lack of noise, catering etc being the main ones

however

the price is a necessary evil

location isn't going to change, so stop moaning and either go or don't

plenty noise on occasions - arsenal last year,a couple of times against tottenham oddly enough

ale queue - there is no excuse, unless its a deliberate ploy to keep folk off the ale

when the reebok is in full voice however rarely, it is an awsome place, but only the big clubs seem to generate these sorts of atmospheres!!

Against arsenal in the league the noise was defening at times, but against shoite like blunderland we could hear the players shouting to each other FFS!!!!

The Reebok is no harder to get to for a large chunk of fans than burnden was, its the getting away thats the fecker!

Football crowds in general are quiet at the moment, bar about 1 game a week the rest are dead as dishwater!

No problem with people expressing their gripes, but this is about the fourth or fifth thread I have seen going on about the same thing. And it's just moaning, very little ideas of how to make things better, so it's not achieving anything. Surely this is an opportunity to think of ways in which the club and fans can improve things.

My point is that we are all BWFC supporters, and want to see our club being successful, and playing to large vibrant crowds, don't we?

I've decided I like the Reebok! :D

Without the Reebok and all it stands for, we wouldn't have got N'Gotty, Djorkaeff, Bobic, Okocha, Campo, Hierro and Diouf amongst others.

Without them, you don't get established in the prem.

Without getting established in the Prem, you don't make the UEFA Cup and now a frighteningly realistic chance of the Champions League.

Let's rebuild Burnden: you're having a laugh.

PS I'm fairly sure i've said all this before.

We're stuck with the 'bok, so let's make the most of it.

thinks i like about the reebok.

1.superb stadium design, i am proud to say it belongs to my team

2.superb viewing facilities.

3.when the atmosphere is good it is better than burnden park when capacity was similar.

4.we can attract players who would not have come within a million miles of burnden park.

thinks i dont like

1.because it is miles from anywhere there are no decent pubs to congregate in before or after the match.

2.everybody disperses to there own part of bolton after the game so there is no crack or banter.

3.there is no anticipation of the match any more the majority of people arrive 30 minutes before the game maybe have 1 drink or less and leave immiediately after.

My biggest gripe is actually getting AWAY from the Reebok after the match. If you don't want to go for a pint or catch the train back it's a fookin nightmare on the bus and in particular in a car.

i think a lot depends on where you park said car, and maybe which direction you are going

i can be home in less than 3/4 of an hour, but NOT if i park on the complex

got to be prepared to walk a little bit, ie to behind the greenwood

i'm one of the last to get off the match bus, and again 3/4s of an hour covers it

it takes 25 minutes to get there if theres no traffic so thats not bad for getting home

Yeah, got to admit I'm a lazy shite in the fact I park on either the away fans carpark or on the Middlebrook car park. Simply a lack of knowledge of the local area really.

Perhaps it's a good job most clubs only play one game a week then.

you know what i meant smartarse!!! :D

i cant belive how much some fans look back at things with rose tinted specs on and harp on about the past.

burnden park was a fantastic atmosphere at times, but jesus christ it was a pretty grim place to be with 6,000 on cold night in the second division. remember p*ss running over your shoes in the paddock bogs, think of the embarresment of playing in the premiership where half the away stand couldnt see a friggin thing because of a supermarket stuck on the ground.

burnden,as good as it was in its heyday was crumbling mess,in the modern era(wether you like it or not) was well past its time. maybe its not burnden you lot miss, maybe its the 1980's. football just isnt the same anymore.deal with it. maybe if half the fans that moan about the atmosphere actually got up off their backsides and sang the atmosphere would be better.the atmosphere is nowt to do with the ground its you lot in it!

its nealry 9 years since the move now and still people are harping on about past days,i bet these people 10 years ago were moaning about the state of burnden.

if you want to watch your team play in a crumbling stadium with cold pies,cr*p facitlities, obscured views,p*ss stained shoes, huddled together on a cold terrace with farrah slacks and a tachini top on ,go down the road and watch bleedin bury.

times move on,deal with it.
