I thought fook off but yep they are only 5 and 6 years old so it would be. Made me feel old as fook and I'm only in me early 30's! 82 in Spain is the first real one I can remember. I'm sure Biff can remember the very first one :D/

June 10, 200620 yr First World Cup I remember is 54 in Switzerland. The first one which had games televised live in the Uk was 1966. That is when most people in this country started to be interested in it. Up to then the World Cup was just a little known competition that happened in a foreign country.

June 16, 200620 yr I have a few fleeting memories of 1970 but my first real memories were of 74 when Scotland had a class team but got knocked out despite being undefeated. Bremner Lorimer Jordan and Co were a class team but we didn't score enough against the whipping boys of Zaire in a 2-0 win, so we went home on goal difference. I was 10 then.
