Spider Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 I disagree that we'd be the least popular team on MOTD, I think Fulham & Charlton are much less of a draw than the Whites. I have customers round the country and I do get the feeling that a lot of people have a sneaky admiration for us, and don't mind watching us stick it to the ''Big Boys''.
xxxxxx Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 I enjoy watching Bolton. I love getting 3 points, and that's all that matters to me.
Guest Natasha Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Nat you hit the nail on the head there, most people on here are proper fans who were there went few others were. fcuk the fickle fans, fcuk the glory hunters, and fcuk you. You have made it clear that you also view the whites in the same vein as these fickle folk, as some form of light entertainment on a weekend. Now kindly stop attempting to irriate the real fans with your one tricky pony like drivel! I wouldn't waste my time trying to piss off devote Church go-ers with my anti-church ramblings so why do the same here? Get a grip, and do some work you lazy red ginger..... You have missed the point. I will beat you hands down on who is the biggest BWFC fan. I haven???t missed a home game since 1990 v Chester City ??? and only 5 away games in that same period. I may slag off the club from time to time, but that is my right as a paying customer. But if the club really did fcuk off all the glory-hunters and part-timers the stadium would be empty and we???d get relegated quicker than Lazio. We NEED the part-timers as much as anyone else ??? if you can???t understand this I suggest you read a book on Economics.
Guest Natasha Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 I disagree that we'd be the least popular team on MOTD, I think Fulham & Charlton are much less of a draw than the Whites. That???s ok then, we???re only the 18th most boring team in the Premiership. Result
Casino Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 what allardyce and gartside have achieved is brilliant how they achieve success, cos that is what these years have been, doesn't bother me one bit yeah, i'd choose 5 goals every game, but not at the expense of one single place in the league not yet awhile anyway anyway, thats by the by i want to comment on what allardyce has said i'll take it all, and i agree with nearly all of it BUT FFS SAM, YOU'RE SUPPOSEDLY THE ULTIMATE MAN MANAGER EEKING THAT LAST 1% OUT OF YOUR PLAYERS WELL I'M SURE YOU DON'T DO THAT BY CONSTANTLY TAKING THE STICK TO THEM I'M SURE THERES CARROT TOO WHETHER THATS CRACKING WAGES, TRIPS HOME TO MALLORCA, OR SUNSHINE BREAKS IN DUBAI I DON'T CARE WHAT IT IS IN THE SAME WAY YOU GET THE BEST FROM THE PLAYERS, YOU MAY WANT TO TRY IT WITH US...THE FANS AFTER ALL, WE PAY FOR THE PRIVILEGE FCUK THE MOANERS, THEY CAN GO AND NEVER COME BACK FOR ME IF THATS WHAT THEY WANT IT MAY HELP IF YOU STATED YOU WERE COMMITTED TO STICKING AROUND, UNLESS SOME MASSIVE JOB CAME UP
Spider Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Natasha, You do seem to have some serious problem with the club. I get the impression that you are the type of person that would slag off a band you like for 1 bad track on an album. It's simple - don't listen to it. The same applies at the Reebok. Yes, there isn't much cash, yes many players find us unattractive, but to me that gives us all the more reason to get behind them. We will always have a seige mentality and to a degree I think we will always need it. Have a word, sweetheart. And maybe, go and buy yourself some new shoes to cheer yourself up.

Ah, 3 posts in and already you sound like every other poster on WW. I support Bolton 100%, but just because I support something doesn???t mean it is immune from criticism.
jimmyjoojar Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 People like to make sweeping statements..FACT etc...Well i think its my turn now. If you haven't missed a home game since Chester in 1990, and only a hand full of away games yet you continue to balloon away like an idiot then i suggest that you either: Write this stuff for the attention, as you get little of that scrubbing the bogs in a hotel OR You are full of shit and your claims about not missing a game etc etc are total bollocks! FACT!!!
Spider Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Or, I sound like a regular Bolton fan? That's fine by me. Though I fail to see why people get so wound up about you - from what little I've seen you appear to be a bit of an attention seeker with a fair niff of agricultural discharge about your ''lifestyle.''

It's because I've seen so many games over the years that I can see just how poor we have become in terms of entertainment and passion. Give me a McGinlay or a Chandler over a Vaz Te or Stelios any day of the week.
Spider Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Just to get away from the sniping for a sec, does anyone on here have any idea how many season tickets will end up being sold by the first game? Some of the threads appear to be getting at a very low figure despite our lofty finishes of previous years.

You've no idea have you , I'm one of Johns big fans , but and this a big BUT he could not score in the Prem which is a fact, now Stelios and Vaz te can so that makes them better

Some of the threads appear to be getting at a very low figure despite our lofty finishes of previous years. As of yesterday it was 13400 sold so far. They estimate 15500 come the big kick-off.

McGinlay has scored more PREMIERSHIP goals than Vaz Te.
Spider Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 May I enquire how you know? I suspect it will end up nearer 18,000 when a few signings show up and the world cup hangover wears off.

Give me a McGinlay or a Chandler over a Vaz Te or Stelios any day of the week. In other words you dont like to watch talent and quality, and are not interested in success or the trophies that go with it. That is your perrogative but most people involved in the game whether it be fans, players, managers or chairpeople do not share your views.
jimmyjoojar Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Yeah you're right Trevor Morgan was a football genius, Warren Joyce a superstar! We were the tip top team for entertainment!! As for passion, this present team has been praised from all corners for its passion and team ethic yet you seem to think they are passion-less. Me thinks its you who is in need of some passion :D/
enzo gambaro Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Give me a McGinlay or a Chandler over a Vaz Te or Stelios any day of the week. Yes, Chandler's loyalty brought a tear to my eye. Lay off Vaz Te though, eh, Nat? He never looked fit all last season and he fell over a lot, but he's only young and he's already shown enough to suggest that, with a little nurturing, he could provide some of the entertainment you crave. A decent pre-season and a bit more experience and we might just have the most exciting Wanderers player in years. Course he could be rubbish, too. Let's not get too carried away with the optimism here. 8-[
Guest Natasha Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 As for passion, this present team has been praised from all corners for its passion and team ethic yet you seem to think they are passion-less. If you think there is any passion left in football these days you are more stupid than you sound. Players don???t care about anything other than CASH. 20 years ago if a player had refused to play he???d have been looking for a new job. Nowadays he becomes the fans favourite. While the technical quality may be better in 2006, the passion is zero.

Spider Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 What truly baffles me Natasha is why, given how utterly reviled you are by players' attitudes, you continue to give a rats arse? Yet you seem to have the inside track on ticket sales, so you are truly confusing...
Guest Natasha Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 McGinlay played more games , so come back when Vaz Te as played them same amount and you will fine find that he will have scored more So you were, in fact, lying.
Sweep Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Natasha you truely are the resident seeker of truth and justice
