I'm in the minority bogs, I like Nicky Hunt. He is one of the best tacklers in the squad and folk expect too much of players when returning from injuries. (which he has been very unlucky with in his short career)

You don't get so many England U-21 caps if you are useless.

He has had some bad games and the crowd really let him know, but when one of our more senior players have an equally bad game there is a different crowd reaction.

I know I am bextoring myself because this was discussed at length last season and I can't be bothered looking for the link.

if campo ever plays centre half again i will have a heart attack.

In our squad at the moment we have 2 centre backs who we know are of a high quality and are good enough for the premiership, TBH and Faye.

 

We then have Miete who although he is not proven yet I am expecting him to be very good.

 

After having three top quality centre backs you can't expect your cover to also be top quality, because a top quality player would not settle for being cover for Bolton Wanderers.

 

However we also have the kid Fojut, I've not seen him play much but I have heard good things about him and i'm sure he could act as cover for a short period of time whilst 2 of the other 3 is out.

 

And then if you really are struggling you have Campo, who even though scares the shi t out of me when he plays at centre back, he has done so for Real Madrid and so could also act as cover.

 

If Jaidi does go then I don't think we are so short at the back then some people seem to think we are, but 1 more defensive signing would take away any doubt.

If Bolton box clever they should get a firm offer from Birmingham then use that as a bargaining tool for Mathew Upson (he is still at brum isnt he ?). A good exchange and cash imo.Or hurry and snap up Distan from the reported Portsmouth for ??4 million another decent price in this strange transfer market. But I suppose knowing bolton they will settle for another nominal fee for a player that on his day can be brilliant. I was reading O'brien was going from portsmouth for ??2 million surely we could get a similar fee

Jaidi is too clumsy at centre-back, but he'll do a cracking job for Brum in the Championship. We've released a lot of players this summer, so I imagine Sir Sam will have money and some room on the wage bill to play with.
