Great player before his injury and he has played first team football for Real Madrid since his comeback. I believe he scored a cracking own goal in his return match if I'm not mistaken. . But the point is he has played recently so worth a short term gamble I would say.

If he had any sense he'd come to the Wanderers coz we're the only club that could ever get him fit. Of course, being a thick ??unt from Middlesborough, he'll be off to Newcastle.

I would have thought that Newcastle would be the last team he would go to because of all the rumours and scandal surrounding him last time he was there. i.e. 'racism' and 'the white stuff'

Woodgate played in a pre-season friendly for Real Madrid yesterday in Austria!

We are always saying how good our medical staff are at Bolton so if we do get him then surely it will only help the lad and IF he stays injury free he will be a magnificent signing for us.

I certainly hope we are doing something to strengthen the back line, and that the news that Jaidi is off to Brum indicates that the club knows something about signing Woodgate or the Argie that we don't. Who would you rather see playing for us... Jaidi or Woodgate?

If it's only a straight choice between a fit Woodgate and a fit Jaidi, I'd choose Woodgate.

A lad who used to know him from North Yorkshire used to work for me and apparently he used to be not quite the brightest, but wasn't as bad as the press etc let on - very easily led by his thuggish mates apparently.
