Carlos Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 No chance. The deal goes like this -If the Bolton News doesn't print ANYTHING bad about BWFC...... Then the club will occasionally throw the odd morsel of a story to the paper. I got slagged off last time I pointed that out
SatanGreavsie Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 i was sat right near that bloke when the orange warriors throw him out its a disgrace. me and the lads i were with are ringing the club tommorrow to complain. they even left his daughter on her own the fcuking muppets Bloody hell, how old was his daughter ??
stopeswhite Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 how much clout do these stewards have ? is it not assault when they man handle people who have done next to nowt wrong ,out of the ground ? great performance by the team yesterday although west spam were poor
THunter Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Just a suggestion: Why not contact the Manchester Evening News with the story? It has a bigger readership and if the story breaks there the Bolton News will have no choice but to run with it.
SatanGreavsie Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Interesting to note that as far as I can see from this http://www.flaweb.org.uk/files/frameworkforexemption.doc it's only been since the start of this calendar year that the FA have had a system up and running to even potentially sort out CRB checks on stewards even though their job will involve manhandling youngsters - whose precise ages they cannot possibly be aware of - and who clearly are responsible for the safety and welfare of children.
Guest kempo Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 theres only 2 words for it... FKIN AWSOME!! brilliant lads just brilliant!. ive alwaysed said davied wud score today. Guest The Special One Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 When mrs meldrew coplained to a steward about my swearing I challenged them to do their job and chuck me out, they never and got the OB to do it instead
Guest tuckoo2 Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 reception@bwfc.co.uk lets all mail BWFC they get free access to the game, so they can throw people out who pay. WHO PAYS STEWARDS WAGES. US !
Carlos Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 reception@bwfc.co.uk lets all mail BWFC they get free access to the game, so they can throw people out who pay. WHO PAYS STEWARDS WAGES. US ! Weight of numbers counts for nothing, the only way to beat BWFC is to be undeniably correct. Assaulting innocent people and leaving kids without a guardian are wrong, it's up to the people in question to take the appropriate action.
Chim Chimineeee Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Eddie, nothing to hide from. We played awful, could've been more. Might have been a less convincing scoreline, if Gabbidon had been playing, as he's a pivotal part of our defence, but I don't doubt that the result would've been different, as said on the Teves thread before the game. As for the "What's the point in West Ham" stuff? Same point as any club I guess. Then again, it's not us flying high in the top 6, enjoying a long run in European football last season, occupying our highest league positions for years and years, but still complaining about the lack of crowds and atmosphere. (And that is not a dig at those who actually do try and create one)
Gustaf Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 The answer is to get your mobile phones on video mode and record whenever the snatch squads are deployed. Collect the evidence of mistreatment post it on websites like this.
tkonion Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 I worked at the stadium on match days a few years ago. The stadium safety officer was a guy by the name of Rod Cross,he controlled the stewards and was one of the biggest pr!cks i've ever met in my life.I remember on one occasion he had the stewards throw a bloke out of the ground because he had fallen asleep in his seat!Another time away fans where hitting a beach ball up in the air between a group of themselves, needless to say the to$$er deemed this a 'safety hazard' and told the stewards to confiscate it.What chance do we have of creating an atmosphere with cnuts like that in control. The point of this reply is that somebody mentioned earlier in this thread to complain to the health and safety officer.I wouldn't waste my breath,if it isn't still that particular tw@t still doing the job its a different, similar tw@t with the same outlook.

Burndens Bogs Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 (edited) The stadium safety officer was a guy by the name of Rod Cross. I think he's been in the job since the Reebok opened. Originally from the top of Halliwell, his dad was an old school "beat bobby" plod in the 60's and 70's - he didn't take any shit though, and would give us a regular clip round the ear. His lad Rod was never exactly "One of the lads" Edited December 11, 2006 by Burndens Bogs

His lad Rod was never exactly"one of the lads" Well that explains it then, he was probably bullied and beaten as a child so now this is his way of getting revenge. I may make an appearance again soon and cause a riot with the stewards
Pablo Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Fcuking good goals. How good is Diouf !?!? Lucky C??nts!!!!

Guest Stand Up Sit Down Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Leeds are suffering similar to yourselves and BBC Radio Leeds has run a couple of stories on the standard of stewarding at Elland Road. BBC Radio Manchester has also done a small feature so it may be worth you contact your local radio station to see if you can get some coverage as to what is going on at the Reebok. Clubs all over the country are having problems with stewarding and, sooner or later, it will kick off at a ground and we, the fans, will no doubt get the blame. On the subject of stewarding the Green Guide states that: Stewards should at all times be polite, courteous and helpful to all spectators, regardless of the affiliations Stewards should never be seen eating, drinking or smoking in view of the public use obscene or offensive language They should also where a jacket or tabard with a number on it for indentity purposes. http://z12.invisionfree.com/StandUpSitDown...p?showtopic=451 It is ironic that more and more club managers are speaking out about the atmosphere - or lack of it - in our stadiums. They obviously don't have clue what fans are being subjected to!

His lad Rod was never exactly "One of the lads" He used to be in charge of the turnstiles at Burnden, indeed it was his call to let anyone with the correct money into the Preston end in 1993 when that was the only part of the ground not sold out. Hardly an appropriate track record for his current role. Wasn't he in the tabloids for knocking off a female steward?
