Eddie Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 (edited) Played some decent football and scored some quality goals. Diouf and Anelka look to have a top partnership which will get better and better. Terrible away support from England 66. (I thought they were going to bring thousands) The West Ham United performance was one of the worst I have ever seen. Atmosphere was strange, very good in patches but then there would be 20 minute spells where not one song was sung. Stewards were even worse than usual, they must have thrown 15-20 people out near me and not one had done anything sufficient. (One got hit by the steward when they were taking another person out, complained and got dragged out himself). And the half time cheerleaders were very entertaining All in all a good day and a good 3 points. And I bet Chim or WHUJohn won't pay a visit for a while. MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGS. Henrick_Pedigol Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Great result, Diouf and Anelka really tunred it on last 20 mins, but God Nolans passing was awfull, looks to be lacking confidence. At times I thought Anelka was giving him a look of disgust after wayward through balls
Burndens Bogs Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 A very, very poor West Ham side( kinell, they were nowhere near as good as the side that went down in 03), but lets not take anything away from the whites - superb
Hutch Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Stewards were even worse than usual, they must have thrown 15-20 people out near me and not one had done anything sufficient. (One got hit by the steward when they were taking another person out, complained and got dragged out himself). The club have to start asking themselves serious questions about the stewarding in light of the antics today The lad who got ejected was pushed by the steward, he had done nothing. I'm sure he will not return to the Reebok after the way he was treated. I think it speaks volumes about the whole stewarding operation when a club employee strolls around in an England baseball cap I think someone somewhere is taking the club for a ride, unfortunately PG and the board can't see it Its not as though we can afford to lose any more fans

Yeah it's an absolute joke, I've had a few words said to me with stewards about standing up too much and giving 'abusive language' to other fans and players. What do they think it is, a cinema? We're hardly just going to sit there in silence are we!
Hutch Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 It may be silent if they continue If you run a pub/club and the doorman abuses you, you wouldn't touch the pub Same is happening to the Wanderers, but there is no accountability Close to jackin it in, paid in for 25 years but as a socialist I can see fellow supporters being treated like dogshit even when they have handed ??500 over to the 'company' I know a few lads off here have tried recently to improve things recently and got nowhere Spoiled my day today., I've totally forgot we won 4-0
dannyc2 Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 west ham poor took our goals well but at times the passing was bad. we could of stuffed them 10 nil but happy
george Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Nat Lofthouse was at the match which was good. And there was the rare sight of an opposition player with a surname the same as the colour of his shirt.....i can think of at least one other against us in the last 25 years.
Sweep Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 And there was the rare sight of an opposition player with a surname the same as the colour of his shirt.....i can think of at least one other against us in the last 25 years. Was it Tommy Tangarine who played for Blackpool in the 80's?
Burndens Bogs Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 And there was the rare sight of an opposition player with a surname the same as the colour of his shirt.....i can think of at least one other against us in the last 25 years. Chris White - Leeds?
george Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Chris White - Leeds? Good effort but no.he left Leeds before we played them in the 90s and his surname is Whyte.
Big E Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 I agree the level of stewarding is getting lower and lower everyweek. The guy thrown out of the south stand having been pushed by a steward was ridiculous. is tehre anyoen we can write too? surely the club cannot let them get away with it. they hunt in packs and then dissappear. spoiling the match day experience. i would not like to take my family (speaking in a future sense) to a game where you can see such heavy handed nonesense
cureforsanity Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Safety in numbers mefhinks, the 'snatch squad' was dispatched and made easy work of the bloke they assaulted, if we'd have all stood together they'd have been far more, ahem, tolerant. Like we do anyway, it's the singles standing up or those on the fringe, I think closing ranks is the answer. The stupids love to cherrypick their victims, but I'm sure after a few twattings they'd get the message. Why didn't they eject the conga-ing WHU tribe? Why DIDN'T one of their number jump from the upper tier? I'd have let him, and in fact I'm sure one or two more of my comrades voiced their opinion of same!
bolty58 Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Cureforsanity is reet. Hardcore stick together and give em a tw@tting. At the very least it will make the club look at the stewarding bullsh1t which goes on. From what you lot have been posting on here, they'd probably read it wrong and double the numbers with Police riot squad backup. BWFC - masters in customer relations.
andyacky Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 i was sat right near that bloke when the orange warriors throw him out its a disgrace. me and the lads i were with are ringing the club tommorrow to complain. they even left his daughter on her own the fcuking muppets
Big E Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 the trouble is there will only ever be one winner. the club. if we complain they will single us out and if we do the slightet thing wrong be banned. it did seem silly that the stewrads had to go and get the blokes daughter too. i mean come on would someone their with their daughter really be after trouble or was he provoked?
SatanGreavsie Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 (edited) Well here's a question - if the stewards are legally allowed to chuck their weight around, why are the police there? And if they're not someone should sue the shite out of them. Edited December 10, 2006 by SatanGreavsie
Carlos Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Well here's a question - if the stewards are legally allowed to chuck their weight around, why are the police there? And if they're not someone should sue the shite out of them. No they aren't allowed to touch you, just use reasonable force, whatever that may be. I'd make a Police complaint if I was touched, the Police will investigate it and sh??t sticks, as they say. The atmosphere is on it's arse, there is no danger within the ground, there is so much room that people have more chance of being crushed shopping in town. Big Mouth Sam will surely complain again, but the crowd have been defeated. Was funny that they didn't chuch Lofty out though.
bwfc_babe Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 theres only 2 words for it... FKIN AWSOME!! brilliant lads just brilliant!. ive alwaysed said davied wud score today. By the way... does anyone know why all the west ham fans was acting like there were 4-0 up at the away side? ::::::::::::

Dont get me wrong i occassionally understand that bating fans is bad however correctme if i am wrong that ESL is a good 2000 seats away from the away end and in the case of yesterday an entire tier away. it was never going to turn nasty

BEN won't do (and never have) anything to upset BWFC. The only angle is if someone was seperated from a young kid by the stewards.
Whites man Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 how can the stewards get away with throwing their weight around with all the CCTV and coppers about?
Carlos Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 (edited) how can the stewards get away with throwing their weight around with all the CCTV and coppers about? Like I said, Police complaint, they will have to investigate and hopefully the evidence is there. Then it will have to go to the CPS. EDIT: I'd also complain to the club's Health and Safety officer about the actions of stewards, then if anyone is injured then they and the chairman of the company are legally responsible. Edited December 10, 2006 by Carlos
cbwfcd Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 (edited) I'm disgusted by that. If I were you lot who saw it I would lodge complaints with the police and the club. If enough people do it then they should listen. If they don't listen then you wont have lost anything. I was at the other side and didn't see it. Edit: On a lighter note it was a fantastic win yesterday. West Ham didn't look dangerous at all. But I think we should have had more than 4. We missed some sitters and ithankfully it didn't matter. It all seems to be coming together with Anelka et al now. But we can wait and see what happens when we play someone who can defend. Edited December 10, 2006 by cbwfcd
Burndens Bogs Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 surely the Bolton Evening News could run a story on it. No chance. The deal goes like this - If the Bolton News doesn't print ANYTHING bad about BWFC...... Then the club will occasionally throw the odd morsel of a story to the paper.
