Scooter Problem

Featured Replies

Reet then, comrades. The bint below is Lauren, posing outside her Fremantle School of Exotic Dancing on her new, nasty Vietnamese plastic monstrosity which they mistakenly call a scooter. Besides the motto 'Ridden not hidden' Paradise Lost SC has only one rule. Scooters must be Italian and geared. These automatic twist'n'go things are frowned upon.

The dilemma is that Lauren wants to join the club and is game for coming away with the lads on our weekend stopovers. Out of seven of us with voting rights ( I hate the term 'committee' - visions of Colin Crompton) it is split 3-3 and I have the deciding vote. Your advice greatly appreciated:-

Absolutely let her join Bolty, tell her she has to play with your gears though, I mean come on, you'd have to be a feckin limp wrist to turn her down

a big NO from me. ok she might be 'game' but you are opening the floodgates, next month her slightly less fit mate will want to come along, than another who does nt have a scooter, so motorbikes will be allowed, before you know it you will have volvos and saabs coming along.

so vote 'no' tell her the bad news to her face, then next trip drop out last minute and go round and rattle her saying it was everyone else who said no.

In in in,100% IN. Just explain to the lovely Lauren that although SHE is very pleasing on the eye, her scooter isn't. Offer to loan her one of your proper machines, and insist that you instruct her to ride it correctly. Make sure that you let her know that you have the deciding vote, and that she could influence your decsision, by being extremely eager to learn. :good:

Bolty, principles are more important than women who look slightly like they may once have been a man.

Don't let breasts cloud your judgement - she wants in purely for scooter-based reasons and for that she she doesn't comply. Tell her gently that she may join when she has the correct equipment.

I, however, am not made of such stern stuff and would let her in at the drop of a hat as long as she agreed to let me rattle her over a nice Lambretta.

It's obvious you are torn on this Bolty. The traditionalists would say no way should she be allowed in with that Vietnamese hairdryer because if you do any Tom, Dick and Sally would expect to get in with their 'scooter'.

The old fuddy duddy in me says tell her te feck off and get what is expected from your band of merry men. But the old fuddy duddy in me says look at the norks on that. Hope this helps.

It looks like a scooter to me, they're all the same engine anyway and are virtually identical, let her in and stop being set in your ways.

you looked at the bike ?

ragging puff.

No need you already said "Scooters must be Italian and geared" I would let in Indian scooters but none of those Jap/Viet auto shit at all.

That is not a scooter!

I didn't see a scooter, just like I didn't see the boat on that other picture that was posted nor did i see the ducks on that picture of Bolty's of a woman by a lake.

Had trouble getting one here for a few days I have read your advice and contemplated. I think the wisest plan of attack would be to agree to a probationary period including a weekend trip away with the lads just to see how all of her equipment performs. She also reckons a couple of her mates are up for it too but they have crappy Vietcong plastices too. Will post a photo or two when I get em to see if you lads think they should be allowed in.

Most of you are correct though. That is not a scooter and we could be faced with a slippery slope (oo-err missus!). Thanks for your valued opinions.

Bolty! I've got it! Let her join but on the condition that she does the membership initiation and because you are the person with the deciding vote you have to shag her in 10 different positions! Rules are rules! :good:

I'd definatley let her sit on my widgey.

Which WWays poster has a automatic twist'n'go scooter??....
