Tal Ben Haim

Bolton seem likely to lose Tal Ben Haim for ??3.5m to Spurs, who want to plug the gap in the squad that will be left if Anthony Gardner goes to West Ham.

Chelsea are baulking at Bolton's asking price for Ben Haim, but Portsmouth are also interested in the versatile Israel international defender.

Which chelsea player...... It'd have to be Ashley Cole, so he can bring his missus up to Bolton!

Geremi plus ??2m would be a great deal for us in exchange for TBH.

PS If TBH f??cks us about and leaves under a cloud will we call him a Jew-das on his return?

Drogba plus ??2m in exchange for Henrik would be alright, too, but that isn't going to happen either, is it?

What?

I love marmite.

He's not Mel Gibson.

He's not Mel Gibson.

I take it you've not seen Traf recently then, since he had his hair permed at the back?

But just as Scottish as that Braveheart.

wouldnt play him at leftback, but can deffo play centre mid...

would be a good addition, but lets be honest it wont be happening

Good call that Traf

Don't see why it couldn't happen either, they are short at centre back and Geremi can't play there, so TBH for Geremi makes sense for them too.

To be honest, if Ben Haim is determined to leave, even a straight swap would be good.

Only problem might be Geremi's wages...

And also dependant on if Geremi himself wants to leave a club that is guaranteed a Champions League place every year, and also of course wants to leave the "bright lights" of London

I read in the sh*t rag (Sun) that Chelsea have offer ??2m plus Wright-Phillips for the rest of the season on loan, and we rejected it, and then ??2m plus that Diarra kid and we rejected it. If it were me then I would have accepted either of them, but the again it is the Sun.

You're right, both of them seem reasonable enough offers, but I thought that Chelsea had no interest in loaning out SWP.........................as you say though, it is from the gospel that is The Sun

Apparently SWP turned us down

CHELSEA hope to sign Tal Ben Haim this week as a peace offering to Jose Mourinho.

Bolton???s Israel defender will become a ??2million gift from Roman Abramovich to bury the hatchet with his manager.

But Mourinho could still test the club???s backing by pressing them to sign Blackburn striker Benni McCarthy.

SunSport revealed yesterday how chief executive Peter Kenyon brokered a peace pact on Sunday night which included the purchase of a new defender.

Mourinho responded by saying he would accept his bosses??? word when he saw a player sign. Agents moved into action yesterday but the move was delayed when Chelsea attempted to offer players rather than cash.

Shaun Wright-Phillips is understood to have refused the offer to go on loan at Bolton for the rest of the season while boss Sam Allardyce said no to a swap deal involving Lassana Diarra.

Bolton are determined to get ??3m for Ben Haim, 24, who Chelsea want to feature against Liverpool on Saturday ??? but so far the Blues have offered ??1.25m for a player who is out of contract this summer.

heard this morning that he is due to sign for Chelsea today, but no mention of part-ex, or fee.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/tm_...-name_page.html

At the bottom, reports for various places seem to think that he will go to Chelsea today for 2m.

End of the day we are losing a belting player

But we picked him up for a song and got almost three good years out of him and made a few quid on the sale

Onwards and upwards

Well said :good:

looks like haim will sign for chelsea for 2m today and upson is be touted about for around 3 or 4m.

another one with great ability but lousy injury record, would you gamble that kinda money on him?

i for one would think he would be a fantastic replacement.

on his day Upson can be a very very decent centre half, I doubt he will come to us though as

i expect that Birmingham will be paying him more than what we would offer him!

as we know Money talks

I vote no to Upson

Overpriced like most English talent, and a rubbish injury record

Maybe our interest in Dunn was a cunning plan to get Birmingham some cash from Jackburn as a sweetner for us coming in for Upson <_<

I'm sure that I've read recently that Brum want around ??8m for him.

He would be a great buy for most clubs in the prem, so I can't see him coming to us.
