Arsenal

Whilst I agree with the sentiment Zoz, I don't believe BWFC will lose money from this.

The most the club can make from me is ??10.66 (33% of the ticket price assuming that it costs NOTHING to stage/pokice the game ). Realistically they all may make ??5 per head (Arse/BWFC/FA)

The coach companies would be charging at least ??10 per head to the club.

The club cant make money from this

For once the club gets something right, and the fuckwits fans start to moan. ](*,)

I think it's a superb gesture by the club, if not just to shut the moaning bastards up on here momentarily. There's no such thing as a free lunch, but at least the club have made the effort to appease the concerns of a lot of supporters.

Hats of to them =D>

??32 for transport and match ticket to Arsenal is a good deal.I hope a few dozen coaches are needed.

Any chance of one going down the night before and picking up at Leicester Square about 10ish on the Sunday night?

:pardon:

Happy, this coach of yours.......

Ale and drugs..........

Yes or No

Of course and we'll all pay for your beer

No and No.

I was wondering who would be the first. Now that you all know any more on that subject will be deleted as the club will not be impressed.

There will be time for beers before and after I would imagine.

Drugs..just say no!

He giveth and he taketh away

There is absolutely nothing to be cynical about, the club are losing money to benefit the fans.

The club has also reduced ticket prices to a fiver for the next two home games so that season ticket holders can introduce friends/their kids to the joys of watching Bolton. They have put their hands in their pockets to buy a current French International centre forward, and they have stumped up enough wages to pay the best manager that BWFC has ever had, to stop him moving on to the money clubs. I can't believe that people are still critisizing them, if you are, then you are not Bolton Wanderers supporters. You are in danger of losing the lot.

Well said!!!!

Prob wont lose money No but wont make any either. Could have not bothered but realised making it cheaper so more of us can be there .

Why do people always look for the downside/negativity

10p per minute? For free transport? I can smell Carlos' blood boiling already!

Read my post - I wasn't moaning, nor did I say the club would make money, "f??ckwit"; I merely stated that I don't think they'll lose money - I stand by that.

In fact I praised the idea on another thread.

Ark at him, he gets all pally with the Club and all of a sudden he's gone all official and holier than thou.

When are you getting measured up for your club blazer? And do you have to sell raffle tickets and crisps? What will Graham think when he see's the porn on the telly?

:D

Travel club went downhill after the bottom deck Monks exec coach got wrecked coming back from Bristol in 86 and they banned a load of notrights. B)

Anyway, fair play to the club. =D>

I was going anyway, but I have to applaud the club for their attempts to increase support, the offer for the Fulham and Charlton game is good thinking, fair enough they possibly won't gain financially on those games, but if those that take advantage of the offer go to another game they gain.

Also the Arsenal offer, financially they will lose money, but the increased support has to help the players, and it is a good publicity stunt, all the additional costs people are talking about, for example the scratch cards, souvenir shop takings, food and drink etc are optional, you only need to spend ??32.

We are all too quick to criticise the club, me included, especially ticketing arrangements. But I do recognise the work the club is doing to increase support and the measures taken to increase the clubs standing. And credit should be given, not more moaning.

Uncle Graham and Happy on a night out.

--> :friends:

31 people so far. its lookin like this will be a good trip

We heard you the first time.

I'm still speechless about the ability of our club to finally do something so simple and yet so sensible. Whatever next? Enough catering staff to take our readies at half time? Then again....

We heard you the first time.

Pretty sure his maths is shite as well

maybe there are 62 people going now

maybe there are 62 people going now

Yea - but yu've got imaginary friends - doesn't count

As a brief aside to those who might see me as being over cynical on this one: I do think it's a great idea by the club: I said so earlier.

However, the club will make money on the deal in my opinion.

A match ticket is ??32 and Bolton will receive ??14.40 per ticket sold (45% of the receipts). This will easily cover the cost of the transport and leave a small profit.

I don't begrudge them making a profit, but for fans to say they'll lose money is absurd.

I personally won't gain from it (unless I get the trip back - which I've already booked anyhow  ). I'm just glad the club has made an effort now. We are doing a lot in the league over the past few years and the JCL are very expectant (as I am one) The other fans just moan lie fuuck about the old days. The club thankfully is trying to find a balance. The clubhas to get new fans to sustain an income.

Hopefully they will find a balance - Given the Tesco comparison - I'd hate to be shopping down at ALDI
