Smiffs Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 there are nearly 400000 good reasons why its a good thing if we win tho.
Traf Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 ??265,000 is the TV payout for that game, if we're actually in it. At ??30 a ticket not on TV you'd get 15,000 tops which generates just ??202,500 for the club (45% of 30 x 15,000). The club could make this game a tenner a ticket, get 28,000 in and make ??126,000 plis the TV money. They could actually make it free for St holders and a tenner for others and still be in profit thanks to the TV money.

If we did use the tv money to give us season ticket holders a free game there would only be us there because the others would still stay at home and watch it it anoys me
mickadoo Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 No good having loads of T.V. money and no support, hence affecting the likelihood of a win, is it? Long term it's better to have a good atmosphere and win the game.

MickyD Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 It's all a ploy to piss BSA off. The more we're on telly; the more people stay home to watch it; the more BSA spouts off in the local rag about us supporters not appreciating our lofty position; the more we get pissed off with BSA not appreciating that we don't all have bottomless pockets; the more likely BSA is to f??ck off to a big club where football is really appreciated.
