February 26, 200719 yr bull or not. for ??6-8 million it would be good business if he wanted to leave. However i think he is settled and would be unlikely to want to leave
February 26, 200719 yr I thought 4million was the clubs sell out limit!! :::::::::::::: Aye, me too! Blake, Jensen, Stubbs, McAteer, Curcic, Thompson, Gudjohnsen etc etc
February 27, 200719 yr as far as im concerned, diouf is irreplaceable and we should be selling for any kind of money, unless he wants to go of course...
February 27, 200719 yr if we want to be a succesful club then we should be keeping hold of the likes of EHD at any price imo
February 27, 200719 yr as far as im concerned, diouf is irreplaceable and we should be selling for any kind of money, unless he wants to go of course... over last few games i think he has not been to the same level he played earlier in the season. he is not the only one but when it gets tough you look to your top players to step up their performance. i am also getting fed up with his mardy arse sulks. he is a top quality player but the idea he is worth more than ??5m or so is a joke IMO.

I rate Diouf very highly, but do find him frustrating at times. However the question should be if we did sell him for the reported ??6m who would be get to replace him. Considering the crazy fees being quoted recently we'd struggle to get anyone in as good as or better that Diouf for ??6m. Thus the question to sell is a no brainer!
February 27, 200719 yr you could not replace diouf for 5m, totally impossible... if you sign a player at the end of his contract on a Bosman and use trhe money to top up their wages you could. i think he is important to the team when he has his 'game head' on, but when goes off on one he is not an asset to the team. the booking on sunday summed it up, annoyed he did nt get a desicion so 30 seconds later is booked

Neither can I, Diouf is key to the way we play. ??5-6m is nowhere near enough. Simple really.......
February 27, 200719 yr Boa Morte recently went for ??5m and he isn't even making the 16 at West Ham - I'd expect to get in their 16 !!! We couldn't replace Diouf for ??5m, I think at times we get very complacent about our players and how long it hs taken to assemble this squad...
February 27, 200719 yr you could not replace diouf for 5m, totally impossible... Whilst I agree that Diouf gives us a certain something, I'm sure that we always feel that when we lose a decent player. How long is his current contract for? I assume that would have one of the biggest influences on his price...

Simple really....... to reply to your point and the one about west ham together. i think given sams record in the transfer market it is unfair to say we would only get a 'west ham' panic buy. off the top of my head i do not know any players any players who are on bosmans this year (other than TBH !!) TO BE VERY CLEAR I WANT EHD TO STAY AND PERFORM TO HIS ABILITY BUT AM GETTING MORE FRUSTRATED BY HIS OFF DAYS. with regards the fee we would get for him, he is a massive risk for any club given his track record which is why i think the fee would not be as high as his ability, if you see what i mean.

I take your point about the fee being affected by his track record, if a English club were after him. But to be fair i don't think this would put a Spanish/Italian club off. His "problems" have been in england and I don't imagine they are as widely documented across Europe as we think. The spitting issue is a huge flash point in the UK but not considered such a sin abroad. Happens a lot more in Spain/France/Italy than the Prem.

February 27, 200719 yr And doyen of the press Ian Wright Wright Wright, lest we forget. I wouldn't have him in my team, obviously, but the MOTD lot have obviously let him off. Mind you, he's English, isn't he?
February 27, 200719 yr EHD, twice African Footballer of The Year okocha didn't win it once says a lot
