Still got to play Walsall and Stockport away. Their local derby next season could be Droylsden.

What a shame that would be.

The local council has faith in the club. They have agreed to be the shirt sponsor for next season but if they are relegated they pay virtually nowt for it!

That Stockport game will be easy, they have gone to pot big style.

The local council are the shirt sponsor, am I hearing this right? Does that come out of the Council Tax coffers or some councillors brown paper bag? Advertising? Like the residents of Bury have an alternative council they can use have they? The whole world's going mad, I swear.

the council claimed to want to help the club a few years back, and were prevented from doing so by some legalities

i think any monies are only able to be put the way of the club due to community stuff the football club do

I'm sure Tranmere were sponsored by Wirral Council for a few years - was probably in the 90's.

Having a club in the Football League, no matter how sh*t, raises the profile of any town and make attracting investment and jobs into the borough easier.

They still are.

I'd apologise for the picture, but we're not arsed about them anymore, are we?

Never was :nea:

If Bury do get relegated, how long will it be before FC United pass them heading in the opposite direction?

It is sad to say but I can not see Bury coming back from relegation out of the league.

is it bolox, sad

harsh that Cas.

Let me explain my sadness.

Living in Bury it is far easier taking the piss out of my neighbours and pub regulars with Bury having a team rather than not having one!

fooking hell, man

self, self, self

tis possible if they lose both those games and boston and wrexham win their next two we could get the scenario whereby wrexham and Boston play out a 0-0 to relegate em. However I think the jammy buckets will somehow get out of it. I would like to see them disappear into obscurity though.

I may be in attendance at the Stockport Vs Bury game.

Bolton play Chelsea that day and i can't be arsed paying to go there,

and i know a few lads who support Bury. Would be a good day out. :drinks:

so you'd sooner have FC United or some Hertfordshire-cum-Poshknobs in the league instead of Bury?

Not me, I would like to see every Northern team in the Prem ( cut down on the cost of away games :) ) and every southern team to be relagated out of existance :yahoo:

I'm not that popular, Yatesy.

i don't give a shite who replaces them, so long as they've gone

hope the black pudding eaters get relegated or go bust, i remember the old 3rd/4th division days against them.

4-1 at home wasn't good.

however we did get supa john off them

and tony (barrymore) cunningham

Let them sing their Die Lofthouse song in the Unibond League. Scum.

dont remember that one

my limited memories of a bury game is offering to 'look after' the missus of one inbred fcuktard as he got dragged out of the south stand, and even bigger fcuktards trying to launch programmes over he segregation nets...

havent even thought about them in four years... no big loss

As I mentioned on here at the time, I went with a Bury fan and some others to their last game of last season up the road at Notts County. Fair old turnout but all they did was sing anti Bolton songs the whole time, which was a bit shite considering (a) we couldnt care less and (B) they were 90 minutes from potentially going out of the league.

So f?ck 'em I say.

Relegation followed by Administartion would be too good for them ungrateful bastuds
