Fcuking mental in the stand that day.

When we scored to make it 1-0 it went off good style.

Blades where flashed, only three OB until later in the game.

Sheffield United, christmas 76 with ma & pa.

won 3-2 i think

Zico, your first away game ever was a game that thousands missed out on getting a ticket for and had to watch it back at Burnden? How Rude!!

Blckpool away on Boxing Day 85 for me Whilst sat in the away seats in the main stand i wondered

1- why i could see underneath the stand from my seat?

2- why people were smoking in the stand

3- why loads of 'lads' ran across the pitch from the lower main stand paddock towards the packed kop.

4- who did they support?

5- and why the 'lads' didnt come up to join us in the main stand, perhaps it was because yoof was up there? (at 7 years of age!)

FA Cup 4th round 1955 at St Andrews, with dad & older brother, by special train. 56,800 crowd. 1-1 towards the end, looking forward to the replay, defending deeper & deeper, kicking the ball into the stands, and ....... and Brum scored a late winner. At least that's what my memory tells me. Sound familiar ? Good introduction to my lifetime's support. <_<

Was supposed to be taken to Hillsborough for the Sixth round tie, March 1954, 1-1 (lost replay 0-2), but they decided I was too young. Crowd was 65,000 so maybe they had a point ......

Play off final against Reading.

First proper away game I can remember was Bradford away '96. Won 4-2 I think

I can remember being at Hull in Feb '76 when we drew 2-2 and someone broke their leg equalising (quite rightly so) and Sheff Utd in '77 when we won 5-1 and it was kicking off all over the place.

Rovers away December 97 in our purple kit. :good:

Terrible first half, ended up going two down, Frandsen pulled one back in the second half and Blakey missed an absolute sitter injury time. Jason Wilcox went straight down the other end and finished us off.

Thommo absolutely nailed Jeff Kenna with a sublime challenge about 10 minutes in to get sent off as well.

Huddersfield 74, FA cup 4th (I think) round.

Me and the old man, we stocked the car up with butties and flasks as though we where going to the North Pole.

Boltons first game with Mike Riley. He was a late change. 2 minutes before Tomo went off, Kenna went straight through in an equally bad challenge, no free kick.

Some things never change.

Chelsea (Nov 78 ?), the 3-0, 3-4 game. Dad was working in the smoke for a few weeks, and me and my elder sister went down on the train to meet him for the weekend.

Maybe the perfect game to get used to watching the whites away
