Blackpool, early 68, on a unsegregated Kop, and knicking scarfs off opposing fans was the order of the day at the time.

(The first organised Firm, known as the Rammy Arms Crew, began in those years, taking their name from the pub they drank in, the Ramsden Arms, opposite Blackpool North Railway Station.)

Is this why it became the flying handbag (pufters pub)

that page looks like a 12 year old may have posted it up

Think it was Blackpool in the mid 80s. Bolton end full so my Dad found an turnstyle in the home end manned by an old chap who was open to a bribe to let us in!!

Oldham in the snow, Feb 1978

Blackpool Christmas 77

Last time we won there.

Huddersfield '88ish. Then a slight lapse for 15 or so years :-k

Shrewsbury away first day of the season 1990? maybe 89

Oldham 1973 or 1974

I think it may have been the only local game on at the time as it was packed with City and United.

Stockport County away 88ish

Won 2-1 and Frank Worthington scored for them !!

As mentioned in that article, I think it was the 1985-86 madness that was my first away game.

Tranmere in the early 90's.

wolves, fa cup, 93

Tranmere for me too.

FA Cup 1st round game at Prenton Park.

19/11/83. 2-2 (Scorers: Joyce & Chandler)

Walloped em in the replay 4-1.

blackburn away in 1975,1-1 draw

re that bit from 'the muckers' attacking bolton fans in the rammy arms on boxing arms 1985,utter bullshit because trains didnt run on boxing day so people coming off the trains and drinking in there couldnt be attacked.

a few of the lads on here were present when a couple of coaches of us lot ran them all over when they tried to turn us over closeer to the ground and they again came seriously unstuck just like after the game.

I dont think I have ever been to blackpool when they have ran us anywhere, but may have done prior to 76.

burnley (i think) went on the train on m'todd, 94ish aged 14- drew 2-2

we only need nine men

quality

Bury away mid 60's sometime. Think we may have lost 2-1? Need to check that link of Sluffys cos I have recollections of Alex Dawson scoring for Bury but thought he came along a bit later than that.

Away to Reading at their old Elm Park ground in 1995.

They may have come out on top that day but we soon got our revenge in what is probably still my favourite match of all time!
