They only buy one fathers day card round there.

Who the feck plays golf with golf balls that size ?

Goole

Rottnest Island- beautifully stunning, but inhabited by rat-rabbit hybrids

What's wrong with Quokkas then?

My mate travelled around the world and has worked out of the UK since graduating and he swears there is no where as wierd as Queensland. Shoeless, sherry drinking loons to the man apparently.

Your mate is no mug. Redneck, thick, ginger minged, check woolly shirted fooktards. Hate the place (though it has some spectacular natural beauty).

Sir IT Botham loved the place, didn't he?

I know so many Brits who emigrated to Brisbane and have since relocated to Perth, it ain't funny. All have the same story. Besides the stinking tropical humidity and cockroaches the size of a Morecambe Bay plaice, the natives over there are a weird bunch. Deliverance springs to mind (Blackburn folk would probably like it then :D )

Trinec in the Czech Republic. On the border with Poland. The steelworks there pumping out its obnoxious pollution made me feel like I was at the ar*ehole of the world.

Anywhere in East Lancs, witches are still being persecuted.

Selby must be the dullest place I've ever been to.

Although there is a pub there that has loads of Wanderers pictures on the wall

sunny beach

that coach journey from sunny beach to bourgas was a real eye opener.the contrast from the resort to the villages less than half a mile away was unbelievable.

reminds me of when i have to leave westhoughton and go through atherton.

Darlington, rough as hell and the worst boozer I have ever, and I mean 'ever' been in. I think Zozzy was there too.
That Darlington Away match was a long time ago happy, you have a good memory it must be over 15yrs since we went to an away match together. I can't forget the pub though, I have been in some rough boozers in my time but that took the biscuit.

Isle of Wight - everyone is about 80 who lives there. In fact, people are so old you start to wonder whether or not you're in some kind of Shaun Of The Dead dream.
Went to Portsmouth Away match one season, the minibus got there mid morning so half a dozen of us decided to get the hovercraft over to Isle of White for a few beers before the match. We had a good laugh with the locals (most of them were under 80yrs old). I would do it again for Pompey away this season, anybody fancy it? It took 7 minutes for the trip across and it was ?7 return I remember.

I'd have to agree with you there, carpetman.

bishop aukland..

you have to see it to believe it..

If you think Bishop Auckland is bad, try going to Peterlee. Or Washington (Tyne and Wear, not DC).

I'll top trump you there. Earby. followed by Barlick (as the locals call it).

There used to be a sign at the 'city limits' saying "This is Earby, please drive slowly" & some wag had changed drive to speak.

Well, it made me titter.
