Site Supporter MickyD Posted June 24, 2007 Site Supporter Share Posted June 24, 2007 (edited) It's flying because a Stevenage based Firefighter was killed last week tackling a car fire on the motorway. He served on Blue Watch, the same watch who, two years ago, lost a couple of Firefighters in a flat fire whilst, having already rescued one person, returned to look for others. Three in a couple of years is desperately unlucky. The last Bolton Firefighter to die on duty was, I think, Jack Liptrott in the mid/late 1960s, and whose son posts on here and lives in Canada. (Forgotten his screen-name though.) Edited June 24, 2007 by MickyD
