The New Manager..........

Featured Replies

.......... must have some pedigree when it's comes to the hot seat. None of the mames linked with the job inspire me. Coleman, Dowie, Jewell, Boothroyd, Brown have no track record and, in my opinion, will only continue our mediocrity.

Can't think of anyone with any pedigree who would want the job to be honest Undies. Perhaps I could offer my services.

Ideally yes, but realistically we haven't got a hope. We are not an attractive option enough for most truely established manager and the vast majority of ones on our wish-list are taken this far into the season. Has super John got his coaching badge :pardon:

piss poor fishing or youve been sniffing your socks again

If a manager is looking to manage in England, which a lot of the top ones are, then I don't see why we are such a bad option. Apart from the top four then we have been as likely as anybody apart from maybe spurs to finish the best of the rest. We are an established top 8 club, we are in Europe, we have a very good squad in which there is 1 world class and a few other very good players and we are only 1 good run away from moving quickly up the table.

I know that it is most likely that we will go for the cheap option and appoint an English average manager, and there are some of those that I wouldn't be unhappy with (Boothroyd, Collins and maybe Jewell) but I don't think it is impossible to go out and get a fairly good foriegn manager (obviously nobody as good as Mourinho).

What word would you use to sum up our season so far? Or where you disagreeing that the names mentioned would take us forward?
