December 18, 200718 yr Just heard on Sirius that Anelka's move to Chelski is cut and dried for 15m 01 Jan. True? Or is this just another addition to the media speculation designed to get the rest of the world involved?
December 19, 200718 yr Finger on the pulse then? It must be an African way of seeing how popular they are in their homeland. Okocha did the same. Clearly

Or is this just another addition to the media speculation designed to get the rest of the world involved? would suspect we will get 10-12m plus as anelka hasnt asked for a transfer we will have to pay his contract up
December 19, 200718 yr anelka hasnt asked for a transfer we will have to pay his contract up Where's that from? I dont think thats the case
December 19, 200718 yr would suspect we will get 10-12m plus as anelka hasnt asked for a transfer we will have to pay his contract up Hence him being quoted 'I love this club and the fans' He aint daft.
December 19, 200718 yr Finally - can we stop talking about Guthrie. He ain't going to sign in January, Liverpool won't sell him in January and Bolton will save the money as we have him on loan until the summer anyway. But Benitez is allegedly under pressure to sell before they will stump up for Mascherano Never mind buying anyone else he has his eye on I don't see why ?2.5m wouldn't tempt them, and us 'saving the money' could turn into 'missing out on a bargain' What if he performs miracles after January? His price will rocket, oter clubs may come in for him, a new manager might come in at Anfield and promote him up the pecking order We need to get him signed up In terms of a new striker - what's Nugent up to?
December 19, 200718 yr anelka hasnt asked for a transfer we will have to pay his contract up Hence him being quoted 'I love this club and the fans' He aint daft. Can someone correct me if I am wrong but if Anelka leaves he will be owed nothing from the club. Basically if the club accept an offer from someone we cannot force him to accept it. He could dig his heels in and stay at Bolton to see out his (big fat) contract (ala Solskjaer). However if Bolton accept an offer and he does agree to leave then it would be his choice hence forfitting the remainder of his contract. Only if we made him redundant would he be owed the remainder of his contract (like Sven and McClaren) Edited December 19, 200718 yr by White79

However if he does leave Bolton then it will be his choice hence he forfitts the remainder of his contract. Only if we made him redundant would he be owed the remainder of his contract (like Sven and McClaren) I think he is entitled to a big fat signing on fee. Don't think his contract gets paid up in full. There is a financial incentive for 'not wanting a move'.

December 19, 200718 yr I think he is entitled to a big fat signing on fee. Don't think his contract gets paid up in full. There is a financial incentive for 'not wanting a move'. I disagree, I dont think Anelka is saying anything for any reason apart from maybe promoting the fact he has settled down and changed his infamous ways We are hardley the victims here, why do you think we have just signed him on a new long term contract? Was it not maybe to ensure a decent transfer fee? Anelka didnt have to sign that did he? He could have quite easily have left it and left us in a much weaker bargaining position, especially as any player can take advantage of the Bosman ruling about 18mths prior to the end of their contract. If that was the case we would have got nowt.
December 19, 200718 yr We are hardley the victims here, why do you think we have just signed him on a new long term contract? Was it not maybe to ensure a decent transfer fee? i read it was to remove certain clauses from his original contract presume these are offers being made over a certain value means he can go etc, that sort of thing so aye, to ensure a decent fee
December 19, 200718 yr Nugent!!Has the world gone mad!We can have Ricketts back on a free! And he's scoring for Walsall
December 19, 200718 yr Watching Setanta Sports News and theyre talking as if it's a done deal. No substance but smoke and fire springs to mind.

December 21, 200718 yr As advised a couple of weeks ago - the Chelsea transfer is a nailed on certainty according to contacts from the club. No idea of fee - the only words used to me were 'plenty of cabbage in it'. Alright Bolty name names. Who are these spineless retards who are busy telling you the clubs business? Megson says he's not had any calls, then I back the manager, until proven otherwise. Anybody whoose told you different is offering their own opinion, at best, and at worst making it up. These guys /gals should be drummed out of the club as they're helping to destabilise the very company that employs them. You should be ashamed of putting such gossip on this very fine message board - and you call yourself a supporter!

You should be ashamed of putting such gossip on this very fine message board - and you call yourself a supporter! Are you for fooking real? How long have you been on this planet son? Grow up FFS. "Call myself a supporter"? I'll guarantee you one thing, I have spent many times the cash you have over the last 20 years feeding my obsession with the Wanderers. 'Ashamed'? Me!!!??? I've been riding fooking hairdryers since 1970 pal. Google the word 'pachydermatous'. If you'd cared to read back through the original thread, I already intimated that the words came from Garty himself. Believe it or not, there is a BWFC scouting network down here and Garty stays with some of them when he is down under. That is where the info came from. If the Elk moves to Chelsea in January, the info was on the money. I believe Garty said similar words to some of the true believers in Belgrade? If Anelka goes somewhere else, I will treat any tips from that source as I have treated all previous rumours - believe it when I see it. This one was delivered with such conviction that it was impossible to ignore as other things from the same source have always been correct. So, to sum up, it is neither someones opinion or someone 'making it up'. There is definite fire behind this smoke. Personally, I hope it all turns to sh1t and Nic stays to go on a long UEFA Cup run with us. See you in Madrid (I hope).
